RULES
RÈGLEMENT
1. The Donostia - San Sebastián International Film Festival
“Horizontes” Award aims to promote feature films produced totally or in part in Latin America, directed by filmmakers of Latin origin, set around or dealing with Latin
communities in the rest of the world.
1. Le Festival International du Film de Donostia-San
Sebastián, attribue le Prix “Horizontes” dans le but de
mieux faire connaître les longs métrages produits entièrement ou partiellement en Amérique Latine, réalisés par
des cinéastes d’origine latine, ou bien qui aient comme
cadre ou sujet les communautés latines dans le reste du
monde.
2. Eligible for this award are all of the feature films selected
to form part of the “Horizontes” selection which have neither been previously presented at other Spanish Festivals
nor commercially released in Spain.
2. Les longs métrages candidats à ce prix, faisant partie de
la sélection “Horizontes” du Festival International du
Filmde Donostia-San Sebastián, ne pourront pas avoir
participé à aucun festival espagnol ni être sortis en
Espagne.
3. The prize carries 35,000 euros, 10,000 euros of which will
go to the director of the winning film and the remaining
25,000 euros to its importer in Spain or, in the event, to its
Spanish producer, provided that proof is provided of its
premiere at a commercial cinema in at least two Spanish
towns or cities within a maximum period of one year from
the date on which the Festival comes to an end.
3. Le prix est doté de 35.000 euros destinés au réalisateur
du film lauréat et 25.000 Euros à l’importateur en
Espagne du film ou si c’est le cas au producteur espagnol,
dès lors qu’est attestée sa sortie commerciale dans au
moins deux villes espagnoles, dans un délai maximum
d’un an à partir de la date de clôture du Festival.
4. The award will be judged by a Jury chosen by the
Management Committee of the Donostia-San Sebastián
International Film Festival, the members of which must
have neither direct nor indirect connection with the competing films.
4. Le prix sera attribué par un jury désigné par la Direction
du Festival International du Film de Donostia-San
Sebastián. Les personnes ayant un lien direct ou indirect
avec les films candidats au prix, ne pourront pas en faire
partie.
5. The award must be granted to one single film and cannot
be declared void.
5. Le Prix devra être attribué à un seul film et devra être
impérativement décerné.
6. Any doubts arising from the interpretation of these rules
will be settled by the Management Committee of the
Donostia-San Sebastián International Film Festival.
6. La direction du Festival International du Film de DonostiaSan Sebastián tranchera en dernier ressort en cas de
doute derivé de ce règlement.
