The 2013 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal is now underway. Parishioners
should be receiving a letter from Archbishop Gregory asking for a pledge to
the 2013 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. The Appeal funds the essential ministries of the wider church in our archdiocese-ministries that, in many cases,
are of service to our parish, such as seminarian education, catechetical ministry, multicultural ministries, etc.. This year, the theme is, “The greatest of
these is love.” St. Paul reminds us of Christ’s unfailing love for us and our
call to share that love with our family, our neighbors and our community.
Your financial support for the work of our parish, and of the wider church
in our archdiocese and the world, is, in fact, one way to share your love
with your community. After we reach our parish goal of $48,130, the archdiocese returns 100% of each additional dollar received from our parishioners to the parish. Please respond to the Archbishop’s request and make a
generous pledge. All pledges will be billed in ten monthly installments.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Combined Second Collection
Next week’s second collection is a combination of three second
collections: World Missions, the Church in Latin America, and the
Church in Central & Eastern Europe. United with the Catholics of
the world at the Table of the Lord, we recommit ourselves to our
vocation, through Baptism, to be missionaries. Our prayers and
Eucharistic celebration next Sunday are directed in a special way
toward our brothers and sisters throughout the world who are waiting to hear the joyous Good News of Jesus. Our offerings will
support the work and witness of those who selflessly give up all for
the sake of our Lord and His Gospel - the local priests, Religious,
and lay catechists who daily provide loving service to the poor and
suffering. Please be extra generous as this collection will be divided between three very important needs.
