Huntingdon is one of the larger towns in the rural municipality of Haut St Laurent. Bordered to
the north by the St Laurence River, and the south by New York State, it is located on the
triangle shaped area of land to the south-west of Montreal. A thriving hub during the
prohibition and the height of the textile industry, Huntingdon features many stately and historic
buildings. The area is comprised of an equal balance of English and French families; many who
can trace their roots to the early settlers who arrived in the area in the 1830's. The primary
industry remains farming in the area; and is renowned for its sugar shacks in the spring and its
apple stands in the fall. Come and visit this area that the modern era has left behind. Enjoy a

Haut St Laurent's cultural tourist attractions include: Grove Hall Performing Arts Centre, Circuit
des Paysan, Cabane à sucre L'Hermine and Hillspring Farm. The Blairs and the Stevenson's
Apple Orchards, Droulers-Tsiionhiakwatha archelogical site, numerous battle grounds of the
