Numéro de référence : 07-OC-010 YOUR CHALLENGE: The Library, Archives and Fellowships Division is currently looking for a dynamic individual who, reporting to the Chief Librarian, will plan, implement, supervise and participate in all aspects of the cataloguing, serials management and acquisitions programs of the Library. This position will manage the Cataloguing and Acquisitions section, in order to support the research activities and resource-sharing mandate of the National Gallery of Canada Library and Archives. The candidate will also contribute to promoting an integrated approach to knowledge management throughout the Library and Archives. EXIGENCES : À titre de candidat idéal, vous répondez aux exigences suivantes : REQUIREMENTS: As the ideal candidate you have: • • • • • • • Post-secondary degree in the history of art or a closely related discipline in the humanities, and a master’s degree in library and information science. At least 3 years’ experience in original and derived cataloguing in a variety of formats and languages. Experience of the management and bibliographic control of serials. Demonstrated experience of supervision/teamwork. Knowledge of established and emerging cataloguing standards (AACR2, MARC, RDA, FRBR). Knowledge of integrated library systems, especially in Acquisitions, Cataloguing, and Serials modules. Experience of working in a research library devoted to the history of art. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/COMMENTS: Knowledge of both English and French is essential (CBC/CBC). Reading knowledge of additional Western European languages is an asset. Working knowledge of software applications such as, Word, Excel, Explorer. • Diplôme d'études postsecondaires en histoire de l'art ou dans une discipline connexe des sciences humaines, et maîtrise en bibliothéconomie et sciences de l'information. • Au moins trois ans d'expérience en catalogage original et dérivé dans divers formats et langues. • Expérience en gestion et en contrôle bibliographique des publications en série. • Expérience confirmée en supervision travail d'équipe. • Connaissance des normes établies et des nouvelles normes de catalogage (AACR2, MARC, RDA, FRBR). • Connaissance des systèmes intégrés de bibliothéconomie, particulièrement les modules Acquisitions, Catalogage et Publications en série. • Expérience de travail dans une bibliothèque de recherche consacrée à l'histoire de l'art.
