Normotone‘s ‘Hiraeth‘ is available on deluxe digipak 3 panels compact disc and digital format.
Normotone is the solo project of Bruno Laborde. Over the past 20 years, Bruno has formed
part of Axonal Warfare (1994-1997) and Neon Cage Experiment (2003-2006), as well as
producing remixes for such artists as Architect, HIV+, Ex_Tension, Necrotek and signed on
Tympanik Audio for his first solo album. A deeply personal new album of Normotone‘s sounds
like a mixture of Ben Frost, Coil, Autechre, Death In June, Einsturzende Neubauten or
Mondkopf. Normotone now joins the Unknown Pleasures Records family to present his second
album ‘Hiraeth‘. Each track featured on this album has its own story, while remaining an
integral part of a cohesive album. Under the predominantly raw layers of cold electronica,
apocalyptic folk, rhythmic noise, heavy glitchy rhythms and contemporary dark ambient music
with a sonic edge. A collaborative effort among well-renowned artists including Black Egg,
Sonic Area, Corina Nenuphar and Thomas 'Lysis' Brunaux

Normotone is the solo project of Bruno Laborde. Over the past 20 years, Bruno has formed
part of Axonal Warfare (1994-1997) and Neon Cage Experiment (2003-2006), as well as
producing remixes for such artists as Architect, HIV+, Ex_Tension, Necrotek and signed on
Tympanik Audio for his first solo album. A deeply personal new album of Normotone‘s sounds
like a mixture of Ben Frost, Coil, Autechre, Death In June, Einsturzende Neubauten or
Mondkopf. Normotone now joins the Unknown Pleasures Records family to present his second
album ‘Hiraeth‘. Each track featured on this album has its own story, while remaining an
integral part of a cohesive album. Under the predominantly raw layers of cold electronica,
apocalyptic folk, rhythmic noise, heavy glitchy rhythms and contemporary dark ambient music

de la scène cold wave hexagonale et rescapé de la décennie des années 80 avec son groupe
Norma Loy habite aujourd’hui pleinement l’entité Black Egg. Nous avons ici un artiste complet
affranchi de toutes les révolutions musicales, qui s'aventure magistralement dans ces riches
territoires d’un songwriting folk longtemps arpenté par les Lee Hazlewood, Nick Cave & The
Bad Seeds, Wovenhand, Mark Lanegan ou Frank Tovey (dont il s'approprie un des titres
séminaux de l'époque Fad Gadget). Usher San a une voix granuleuse et biblique dont il se
sert, à l'instar d'un Leonard Cohen, d'un Michael Gira ou d'un Ian Curtis, pour vous narrer des
histoires de vie, d'amour, de mort, de renaissance et de transcendance. Cette voix d'une
justesse rare portée par de sublimes compositions originales (deux chansons en français dont
"Petit Chevalier" reprise de Nico du Velvet Underground chantée ici par Lily Rose, la fille de
l'artiste, et "derrière les forêts" qui lorgne du coté d'un Alain Bashung époque "bleu pétrole")
distille la passion, le soufre, la caresse, une forme de liturgie poétisée et la perte irrémédiable
de ceux et celles qui nous sont chers, accentuée ici par la déception d'un monde qui nous
conduit tout droit vers le précipice. La production sobre et classieuse se veut dans l'esprit des
fameux "American Recordings" testamentaires de Johnny Cash. Le mastering a été confié à
James Aparicio, ingénieur du son de chez Mute, qui travaille habituellement avec Depeche
Mode, Grinderman, Spiritualized, Maps, Liars ou Moby. C'est assurément le disque français de

band has given concerts in France in clubs and bigger halls, they have especially made the
first part of the UK band Lebanon Hanover in 2015.Their new songs, still drawing on cold
