Such situations involve stress. Researches are centered on decision-making and collective activity. Studies on decision-making aim to better understand how experts use their experience to make efficient decisions. They aim to identify: (a) useful perceptions and knowledge to carry out an action; (b) conditions determining planned decisions and decision made in the course of action; and (c) decision strategies. Practical perspectives are developed to optimize situation understanding and development of decision flexibility. Studies on collective activities are concerned with: (a) shared situation understanding between the coach and athlete or team members and perspective to check that they are on the same wave length, and; (b) briefing debriefing. Last studies aim to model the way coaches and athletes brief and debrief in competitions containing high stakes and develop training program to improve the efficiency of briefing and debriefing.
