Water Polo Canada is pleased to announce the details of the first event for the Youth Women‟s National Team for the
summer of 2011. This event will be held in Montreal from July 1st until July 14th, 2011.
Purpose of the Selection Camp
The purpose of this selection camp will be to select the top fourteen (14) athletes who will be asked to centralize in
Montreal leading up to the final selection for the 2011 Junior Pan American Games, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Participation in this selection camp is mandatory to be eligible for selection.
The following athletes are invited to attend this selection camp (Mandatory for Selection):
The athletes below in red have also been selected to train with the born in „91 team. If not selected to the „91 team, they
will have the opportunity to be selected to the „94 team. They will therefore not be training with the „94 group until after
selection and if not selected to the „91 team.

Training Camp Location
All training in Montreal will be split between the following two locations:
1) Women‟s National Training Center – Montreal Olympic Pool
2) Parc Jean Drapeau Aquatic Center (site of 2005 FINA World Championships)
Local Accommodations
Details on local accommodations in Montreal will be provided as soon as possible. Out of town athletes will likely be
staying in a hotel equipped with a kitchen. If they are staying at a hotel, there will be a staff member on site with the
athletes.
Meals
All meals will be the responsibility of the athletes. The staff will ensure that they have access to grocery stores and follow
proper nutrition. As mentioned above, if staying in a hotel, the hotel will have kitchen facilities.
Training Camp Schedule
The detailed schedule will be released closer to the start of the camp. Athletes are expected to arrive in Montreal on
Friday July 1st, 2011. The first practice will take place on Saturday July 2nd and the selection camp will conclude on
Thursday, July 14th, 2011.
Transportation
All flights will be booked by Water Polo Canada. All athletes will be met by a member of the program staff at the airport
upon their arrival in Montreal and will be returned to the airport for their departure by a staff member as well.
All local transportation in Montreal including travel between the hotel and pool will be by Metro and will be coordinated
by the staff on site.
Cost
The cost of the camp will be $950 and includes flights, shared hotel accommodations for the complete duration of the
camp and all training costs.
Payment must be made by credit card and must be received no later than June 10, 2011. The credit card authorization
form is included as part of the e-mail used to send this memo. All completed credit card authorization forms must be
scanned and sent to Youth Manager, Laura McKenzie at [email protected]
Registration, Parental Consent, and Personal Information Form
Please complete the Registration, Parental Consent and Personal Information document that was sent along with this
information document. Along with these forms, each athlete must also include a digital photo (headshot) of themselves
and a scan of their passport. The forms and all other documents must be completed and returned to Laura McKenzie at
[email protected] no later than June 10, 2011.

Passports
You will require a valid Canadian passport for all activities this summer. As is the case with all international travel, the
passport must be valid for 6 months from the date of departure from foreign country. Given this, if your passport expires
before February 15, 2012 you must renew it prior to the start of the summer centralization on July 1st, 2011. Please do not
forget to bring it with you to Montreal.
What to bring and additional considerations

Please limit the amount of stuff you bring with you as you will be in shared accommodations. You will have
access to laundry facilities.

Additional considerations:
 We recommend that you visit your bank and ensure that you have an “adult” bank account. We have had issues in
the past when athletes have tried grocery shopping and were unable to pay as they had a $100 limit on their card.
Overview of Summer Program
Following the selection camp, there will be two additional parts to the Born in ‟94 program this summer as follows:
1) Centralization including a common training and tournament with the New Zealand ‟94 team, the Canadian Junior
National Team, and the Canadian FISU Team. This portion will begin immediately following the selection camp
and conclude with the departure for the Pan Am Championships. The estimated cost for this portion is $1,200.
2) The final portion of the summer will be the Pan American Championships which is the qualification event for the
World Championship next summer. This portion will begin with the departure for Puerto Rico on August 2nd and
conclude with the return from Puerto Rico on August 13th. Athletes will return to their home cities on August 14th.
The estimated cost for this portion is $2,200.
Additional details on the remaining portions of the summer will follow soon.

Water Polo Canada est heureuse de vous annoncer les détails du premier évènement de l‟équipe nationale jeunesse
féminine pour l‟été 2011. Un camp d‟entraînement aura lieu à Montréal du 1er au 14 juillet 2011.
Objectif du camp de sélection
Le but de ce camp est de sélectionner les quatorze (14) meilleures athlètes qui seront invitées à se centraliser à Montréal
cet été, en route vers la sélection finale pour les Jeux panaméricains junior 2011 à San Juan (Porto Rico). La participation
à ce camp de sélection est obligatoire afin d‟être admissible pour la sélection.
Les athlètes suivantes sont invitées à participer à ce camp de sélection (camp obligatoire afin d’être sélectionnée) :
Les athlètes ci-dessous en rouge ont également été sélectionnées pour s‟entraîner avec l‟équipe des athlètes nées en 1991.
Si elles ne sont pas sélectionnées pour cette équipe, elles auront l‟occasion d‟être sélectionnées pour l‟équipe des athlètes
nées en 1994. Elles s‟entraîneront donc avec le groupe des athlètes nées en 1994 seulement après la sélection de l‟équipe
des athlètes nées en 1991, et seulement si elles n‟y sont pas sélectionnées.

Lieu du camp d’entraînement
Tous les entraînements à Montréal auront lieu aux endroits suivants :
1) Centre national féminin d‟entraînement – Piscine olympique de Montréal
2) Centre aquatique du Parc Jean Drapeau (site des Championnats du monde 2005 de la FINA)
Hébergement à Montréal
Les détails sur l‟hébergement à Montréal seront fournis dès que possible. Les athlètes qui viennent de l‟extérieur de
Montréal demeureront probablement dans une chambre d‟hôtel incluant une cuisinette. Si les athlètes demeurent à l‟hôtel,
un membre du personnel de l‟équipe demeurera sur place avec elles.
Repas
Les athlètes seront responsables de tous leurs repas. Le personnel de l‟équipe s‟assurera que les joueuses ont accès à des
épiceries et respectent une bonne alimentation. Comme mentionné ci-dessus, si les athlètes demeurent à l‟hôtel, les
chambres incluront une cuisinette.
Horaire du camp d’entraînement
L‟horaire détaillé sera communiqué avant le début du camp. Les athlètes doivent arriver à Montréal le vendredi 1 er juillet
2011. Le premier entraînement aura lieu le samedi 2 juillet et le camp de sélection se terminera le jeudi 14 juillet 2011.
Transport
Tous les vols seront réservés par Water Polo Canada. Toutes les athlètes seront accueillies par un membre du personnel du
programme à l‟aéroport à leur arrivée à Montréal et seront également reconduites à l‟aéroport à leur départ par un membre
du personnel.
Tout le transport local à Montréal, incluant les déplacements entre l‟hôtel et la piscine, se fera par métro et sera coordonné
par le personnel sur place.
Coût
Le coût du camp est de 950 $ et inclut les vols, l‟hôtel (en occupation partagée) pour la durée complète du camp et tous
les coûts reliés aux entraînements.
Le paiement doit être effectué par carte de crédit et doit être reçu au plus tard le 10 juin 2011. Le formulaire d‟autorisation
de carte de crédit est inclus dans ce courriel. Tous les formulaires d‟autorisation de carte de crédit remplis doivent être
numérisés et envoyés à Laura McKenzie, gérante de l‟équipe jeunesse, à [email protected].
Formulaires d’inscription, de consentement parental et d’informations personnelles
Veuillez remplir les documents d‟inscription, de consentement parental et d‟informations personnelles inclus avec le
présent document d‟informations. Outre ces formulaires, chaque athlète doit aussi inclure une photo numérique (format
passeport) et une copie numérique de son passeport. Les formulaires et tous les autres documents doivent être remplis et
retournés à Laura McKenzie à [email protected] au plus tard le 10 juin 2011.

Passeports
Vous aurez besoin d‟un passeport canadien valide pour tous les évènements de cet été. Comme c‟est le cas pour tous les
voyages internationaux, le passeport doit être valide pour 6 mois à compter de la date de départ du pays à l‟étranger.
Ainsi, si votre passeport expire avant le 15 février 2012, vous devez le renouveler avant le début de la centralisation
estivale le 1er juillet 2011. N‟oubliez pas de l‟apporter à Montréal.
Ce qu’il faut apporter et autres considérations
N’oubliez pas d’apporter à Montréal les éléments suivants :
1) Passeport
2) Tout l‟uniforme de Water Polo Canada incluant survêtement, t-shirts, maillots de bain, casques, etc. (de l‟été
passé)
3) Protège-dents si vous en portez un
4) Bouteille d‟eau
5) Veuillez limiter la quantité de choses que vous allez apporter puisque vous partagerez votre chambre avec
d‟autres athlètes. Vous aurez accès à une buanderie.
6) Vêtements pour tous les entraînements hors piscine
Autres considérations :
 Nous vous recommandons de visiter votre banque et de vous assurer que vous avec un compte bancaire
« adulte ». Nous avons eu des problèmes dans le passé lorsque les athlètes ont été incapables de payer la
nourriture achetée, car elles avaient une limite de retrait de 100 $.
Aperçu du programme estival
Suivant le camp de sélection, il y aura deux portions supplémentaires au programme de cet été pour les athlètes nées en
1994 :
3) La centralisation inclut un camp d‟entraînement et un tournoi avec l‟équipe des athlètes nées en 1994 de la
Nouvelle-Zélande, l‟équipe canadienne junior et l‟équipe canadienne des Jeux de la FISU. Cette partie
commencera immédiatement après le camp de sélection et se terminera avec le départ pour le Championnat
panaméricain. Le coût approximatif pour cette portion est de 1200 $.
4) La portion finale de cet été sera le Championnat panaméricain, qui est le tournoi de qualification pour le
Championnat du monde de l‟été prochain. Cette partie commencera par le départ pour Porto Rico le 2 août et se
terminera avec le retour de Porto Rico le 13 août. Les athlètes retourneront à la maison le 14 août. Le coût
approximatif pour cette portion est de 2200 $.
