1 Caractéristiques techniques
- Statif métallique stable et robuste. Ergonomie des commandes en position
basse permettant à l’utilisateur de reposer ses avant-bras sur la table.
- Tête monoculaire rotative sur 360° avec tube porte-oculaires incliné à 45 °.
- Oculaire : grand champ 10x, pouvant être remplacé par un oculaire grand
champ 15x (référence 574 170).
- Tourelle 3 emplacements pourvue des objectifs suivants :

- Mise au point par crémaillère à mouvement rapide et vis micrométrique.
Longueur optique 160 mm.
- Platine 110 x 120 mm, équipée de valets.
- Condenseur fixe avec diaphragme à iris et porte-filtre pour filtre bleu
amovible.
- Eclairage incorporé au socle avec interrupteur et réglage d’ intensité, lampe
halogène 12 Volts -10 Watts protégée par un cache noir amovible ajouré muni
d'une lentille convergente et d'un filtre bleu permanent pour éliminer les
dominantes chaudes de la lampe.
- Masse du microscope : 3,5 kg.
2 Mise en service
Matériel nécessaire : tournevis cruciforme ordinaire et/ou tournevis cruciforme
de précision.
- Sortir le microscope ME 1012 de son emballage, ôter les diverses
protections. Conserver l'emballage pour un stockage prolongé ou une
réexpédition.
- Mettre en place la tête monooculaire, serrer la vis moletée de maintien SANS
la bloquer. Pour orienter la tête à votre gré, il est nécessaire de dévisser
légèrement la vis moletée.
- Visser les trois objectifs 4x, 10x, 40x sur la tourelle.
- Mettre en place les valets:
- valets : placer successivement sur chaque vis l'axe avec sa partie
large vers la tête de la vis, le levier de maintien de lame (attention au sens), le
ressort, la rondelle et visser l'ensemble sur la platine

3 Utilisation et réglage
- Pour le déplacer, saisir le microscope uniquement par la partie inclinée de la
potence, en plaçant éventuellement l'autre main par dessous.
- Brancher le cordon d’alimentation sur une prise secteur 220 V et raccorder la
fiche à l’arrière du microscope. Tourner le variateur d’intensité lumineuse
placé sur le socle sur la position intermédiaire.
- Mettre en place la préparation.
- La tête d'observation orientable à 360° et le tube incliné à 45° assurent une
excellente ergonomie et permettent une utilisation prolongée.
- Les objectifs parafocaux facilitent la mise au point lors du changement de
grossissement, l’objectif 40x possède une monture rétractable qui évite de
détériorer la préparation.
- La mise au point se fait par un déplacement vertical de la platine grâce à une
molette pour les mouvements rapides et une vis micrométrique pour un
réglage plus fin.
- Une butée réglable située entre la platine et la potence limite son
déplacement vers le haut et évite tout contact avec les objectifs.
Pour régler sa position :
- dévisser la vis de butée et son contre-écrou,
- mettre en place l'objectif le plus fort (40x ou plus si vous avez modifié
la composition des objectifs et accru le grossissement maximal du microscope
initial : 100x ou 60x) remonter doucement la platine en regardant latéralement
jusqu'à ce que la lamelle frôle l'objectif (environ 0,2 mm),
- serrer la vis de butée et la bloquer par le contre-écrou.
- La platine porte en dessous une lentille condenseur de lumière de platine, un
diaphragme à iris réglable et un porte-filtre destiné à recevoir le filtre bleu pour
observer des préparations très transparentes.
- Régler l'éclairement en recherchant la meilleure position du condenseur, puis
fermer le diaphragme de façon à augmenter le contraste et la profondeur de
champ, mais sans exagération de façon à ne pas altérer la résolution.
4 Entretien
- Protection contre la poussière : après usage, recouvrir l'appareil de sa
housse. Si de la poussière s'est déposée sur les lentilles, souffler à l'aide
d'une seringue ou d'un dépoussiéreur (référence 574 198) ou utiliser un
pinceau en poil de martre : les lentilles sont fragiles et peuvent être rayées par
la poussière.
- Marques de doigts : ne pas toucher les lentilles. Si toutefois, elles portent des
empreintes, les enlever avec un chiffon doux imprégné de xylène ou un papier
de nettoyage optique (Réf. 803 092).
- Humidité : l'humidité, surtout conjuguée avec la température, est
particulièrement néfaste pour les optiques montées. Il convient de ranger les
microscopes au sec, et en climat particulièrement exposé, dans leurs coffrets
polystyrène avec un sachet dessicatif.
- Démontage : un microscope est un appareil de précision d'usinage délicat. Si
le démontage s'avère nécessaire (maintenance), il faut retourner l'instrument
au fournisseur ou à un atelier compétent. La plaque inférieure qui le ferme ne

doit être ouverte que par un électricien car le boîtier doit rester protégé au
niveau de la sécurité électrique.
- Pour changer la lampe :
1.
Débrancher l’alimentation, par la fiche placée à l’arrière du microscope
soit par la fiche secteur 220 volts.
2.
Dévisser complètement le corps de lampe noir.
3.
S’assurer que la lampe est bien refroidie, éviter de toucher l’ampoule.
4.
Saisir les bords extérieurs du miroir dichroïque et tirer pour enlever la
lampe.
5.
Procéder au remplacement et revisser le corps de la lampe avant de
connecter l’alimentation.
Lampe de rechange 12 V / 10 W référence : 574 202.
5 Service après vente
La garantie est de 2 ans, le matériel doit être retourné dans nos ateliers.

1 Technical specifications
- Stable, robust metal body. The ergonomic positioning of the controls beneath
allows the user to rest his or her forearms on the table.
- Rust-proof, monocular head rotatable by 360º with an ocular tube inclined at

- Rack and pinion coarse adjustment and micrometric screw fine adjustment.

blue filter.
- Light source built into the base with on/off switch and dimmer, 12 volt -10
watt halogen lamp protected by a detachable black cover with an openwork

eliminate the majority of the heat from the lamp.

2 Setup
Tools required: standard and/or precision Philips screwdriver.
- Remove the ME 1012 microscope from the packaging, and remove the
various protective packaging items. Save all packaging material for long-term
storage or possible return shipment.
- Place the monocular head in position, tighten the knurled fastening screw
WITHOUT jamming it. To adjust the head to your preference, it is necessary to
gently loosen the knurled screw.
- Screw the three objectives (4x, 10x, 40x) onto the nosepiece.
- Attach the slide holders:
- slide holders : in the following order on each screw, place the shaft
with its large end towards the head of the screw, the slide holder lever
(with attention to the direction), the spring, the washer and then screw
the assembly onto the stage

3 Use and adjustment
- When moving the microscope, grasp it only by the inclined part of the body,
and place your other hand beneath it.
- Plug the power cable into a 220 V outlet and plug the other end into the back
of the microscope. Set the dimmer located on the base to its middle position.
- Place the specimen on the stage.
- The 360 º rotatable head and the tube inclined at a 45 º angle are
ergonomically designed for prolonged use.
- The parafocal objectives make it easy to focus when changing the
magnification; the 40 x objective is retractably mounted to avoid damaging the
specimen in case of accidental contact with the specimen.
- The microscope is focused by vertically displacing the stage by a knurled
coarse adjustment knob for rapid movements and a micrometric screw for fine
adjustments.
- An adjustable stop located between the stage and the body limits the height
to which the stage can be raised and avoids contact with the objectives.
To adjust its position:
- loosen the screw and the counter nut on the stop,
- switch to the most powerful objective (40x, or higher if you have
changed the objectives and increased the maximum magnification of the
original microscope, i.e., 100x or 60x) and slowly raise the stage while
observing it from the side until the plate almost touches the objective (ca. 0.2
mm),
- tighten the screw to the stop and secure it with the counter nut.
- Underneath, the stage has a condenser lens for the stage light, a diaphragm
with an adjustable iris and a filter holder designed for the blue filter for
observing highly transparent specimens.
- Adjust the illumination by finding the best position for the condenser, then
close the diaphragm to increase the contrast and the field depth. Do not close
the diaphragm too much, as doing so will change the resolution.
4 Maintenance
- Protection from dust: After use, place the cover over the apparatus. If there
are dust deposits on the lenses, blow them away with the help of a syringe or
dust remover (item no. 574 198) or use a martin hair brush; the lenses are
fragile and can be scratched by dust.
- Fingerprints: Do not touch the lenses. If, however, they do have fingerprints
on them, remove the fingerprints with a soft cloth or lens paper (item no. 803
092).
- Humidity: Humidity, especially in combination with temperature, is particularly
harmful to the assembled optics. It is a good idea to store the microscopes in a
dry place, and under especially exposed climate conditions, the microscopes
should be stored in their polystyrene boxes with a desiccation bag.
- Disassembly: A microscope is a finely-tooled, precision instrument. If it is
necessary to take it apart (for maintenance), the instrument should be returned
to JEULIN or a qualified repair shop. The base plate that seals the microscope
may only be opened by an electrician because the body must remain

protected according to electrical safety standards. Do not take the microscope
apart unless it is unplugged.
- To change the lamp:
1.
Disconnect the current, either by the plug located in the back of the
microscope or by the plug in the 220 volt outlet.
2.
Unscrew the black lamp body completely.
3.
Make sure that the lamb is cold and do not touch the bulb.
4.
Grasp the outer sides of the dichroic mirror and pull to remove the lamp.
5.
Replace the lamp and screw the lamp body back in before reconnecting
the power.
Replacement lamp: 12 V / 10 W Item no.: 574 202.
