Term 2 is ending on February 5th and we are beginning the final stretch in the academic year. The
report cards will be issued on February 25th. Please make sure to return the slip attached with any comments.

Fundraiser:
Spring Break – Semaine de Relâche
Back to school – Retour à l’école
Collecting cards and new items for gift baskets (games,
toys, colours, books, etc...). Students are asked to bring in a loonie or two
to support the Huggies project initiative and put a smile on a sick child’s
face. Students who bring in goods or money this week will be able to
wear a Pink Shirt & free dress on February 23rd which is part of our
community anti-bullying campaign.
Participation earns you house
points. We will be providing the pink t-shirts!

Call to all parents ! ! ! .................Come join us on February 13th at 8:10 am in your
child`s classroom and be part of our ‘Read to me, Read to you’ event.
House Challenge....
Potter House will be getting their reward this month for accumulating the most
points. This means that they will receive an extra recess, free dress day and an extra snack.
So kids, keep up the good deeds and collect those house points from staff members. Good
luck to all This will happen on February 10th!
Individual winners were drawn from those students that earned house points. They will be
receiving a pizza lunch also on Feb. 10th and are able to invite a friend. Congratulations to Maya (12A), Sofia
(KA), Thomas (33C), Arfaan (14A), Alexia (22A), & Jai (12A).
EMS brings storytelling to life. Our cycle 3 students have been practicing the art of
retelling and will be presenting to the school on February 18th. The winners of our inhouse competition will represent our school at the EMSB Annual Storytelling
Competition.
Don’t forget our Speaking and Writing event March 10th. Parents whose children have been chosen will receive
an invitation to attend prior to Spring Break. If your child is chosen, please help them get ready by encouraging
them and practising with them. The objective of this event is to build confidence, practice
public speaking skills and to show case student’s original pieces of writing.
