Prepare your visit to the RSG ! To help you prepare your visit, we offer here some indications concerning the conference, travelling and accommodation in Rabat. Rabat Administrative and political capital of Morocco, Rabat is a modern city with wide avenues planted with palm trees, home of the jewels of Islamic architecture: the Hassan Tower, the Kasbah of Oudayas, the Chellah. It also houses the largest university in the country. How to get to Rabat Attention, a visa may be required to enter the Moroccan territory check the visa requirements in the Moroccan embassy in your country Rabat has its own airport Rabat-Salé, but for international connections we recommend the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca, a little further from Rabat. Mohammed V airport is served by most airlines. ● From the Mohammed V Airport: The airport is located about 35 km from Casablanca city center. By train: It is the most advised way for traveling. The train station is located at the first basement level of the building.You will get to Casablanca within half an hour (Ain Sebaa or Casa Voyageur train station). The best way is to take Ain Sebaa connection in order to cross the TNR coming from Casa-Port), then you will have to take a train to Rabat (one more hour traveling) with a total cost of 100 MAD. Attention, the last train is at 22:00. For more information visit www.oncf.ma By bus: The bus company CTM assures a regular circuit between the airport and the center of the Casablanca city (travel duration: around one hour). By taxi: Taxis service has the advantage of functionning 24/7, however, you will have to fix the price with the driver, negotiating it, if necessary. (1h30 - Price from 200 to 600 MAD) ● From the Rabat-Salé Airport : Rabat-Salé Airport is located at 10km in the North-East of Rabat on Meknes road. Tramway Network: The Rabat-Salé Tramway counts 32 stations spread in two ligns, allowing an easy access to all key points in the town. The fare of a single ticket is 6MAD with connection possibility between the two ligns within one hour. * Line 1: From Salé city til Mohamev V avenue in the center of the town. This lign serves ONCF stations, ministeries, libraries, faculties and Souissi Hospital Center. * Line 2: This lign serve L’Ocean neighbourhood, from the Moulay Youssef Hospital until the bus station in Salé city, passing by Yacoub El Mansour and Bettana neighbourhoods in Salé. The minimum fare is 5MAD, and can be doubled until 50% starting from 8:00 pm. Bus Network: Once ticket costs 4 MAD without connections possibility.
