Directed by Marcel Maréchal, created at the festival of Figeac (Lot). Sets and creation of props. Close collaboration with the technical team assuring an itinerant production from city to city under tents and theatres, the difficulty being adaptiing the set to these changing and challenging conditions: the all season being 70 performances in 40 sities! THEATRE 1988-2015: Vieille Immobile (Gérald Chevrolet) created in Geneva and directed by the author. My first set in a dramatic production with an emblematic Geneva actress, Madame Germaine Tournier, positioned in the center of the set. Théâtre 95 in Cergy-Pontoise: Sens Unique, Au Pays de la Musique Perdue (Dragutin), le Mariage de Figaro (Beaumarchais),...directed by Joël Dragutin. Britannicus (Racine) and la Double inconstance (Marivaux), directed by Geneviève Rosset. Sets, painting and props. Five years with the Théâtre 95 where speed was the essence and costumes and sets had to be in compliance with this priority. L'Appel du Pont (Nathalie Papin) created at the Théâtre Pitoëff in Geneva, directed by Mercédes Brawand. We created a poetic and politic set around this play « The Calling Bridge ». Ultime Dialogue (Charles André) created in the St-Maur Atelier théâtre, directed by Alexandra Royan. Sets and painting. Played by two actors, this contemporary text inspired within me a poetic and spirituel response. La Dame d'Ithaque (Pirot/Pharao).How to imagine a Cecil B. DeMille production on a very small stage. Putting a Cecil B. DeMille production into a shoebox! Dear Liar (Kitty/Cocteau) théâtre La Bruyère, directed by Régis Santon. Two famous French actors, Marcel Maréchal and Francine Bergé, play Pat Campbell and G.B. Shaw. My role as prop manager within Régis Stanton's poetic and intimate staging of these two emblematic British personalities, consisted of collecting accessories and props. The Jungle Book (Kipling) produced by Ecla-théâtre, directed and adapted by Alexandra Royan. Kipling's wolfchild's entry and initiation into the animal world. A famous English classic adapted for children with a modern yet esthetic un-Disneylike adaptation. Liliom (Férenc Molnar),Théâtre de Ménilmontant Paris. A rich encounter with director Patrick Alluin and his joung company around Liliom and its difficulty to love without physical violence. La seconde surprise de l'amour (Marivaux), Comédie Nation Paris. One more time with Patrick Alluin on a classical play from french répertoir. Then an other classical french play Les caprices de Marianne (Musset) Avignon festival Off OPERA - DANCE 1999-2015: Tristan after R. Wagner created at the Florence Opera House, choreography by Giorgio Mancini Mystic travel between love and death interpreted by two « étoiles » of the Opéra National de Paris. Rusalka (A. Dvorak) created at the Greek National Opera in Athens and the following year at the Nice Opera Hous, directed by Marion Wassermann and conducted byJaruslav Kyzlink (Athens) and Claude Schnitzler (Nice). Sets and props. This is one of the most beautiful operas of the czech repertoire. The director created a new vision of Rusalka in a palace with huge mirrors in which the human soul was reflected. Faust (C. Gounod) created at The Massy Opera House, directed by Henri Lazarini and conducted by Dominique Rouits. Sets for a « Star Wars » Faust in which I pay homage to the movie « Metropolis » by fritz Lang Le Roi se meurt (Olivier Kaspar) after Ionesco, created at The Academy of Music of St-Maur, conducted by the composer. Direction, sets, costumes and props. I created the set design in a space not adapted for performences but very inspiring. Bach Per Gioco (music J-S Bach) created at the Karlsruhe Badisches Staadtstheater and Words No Longer Heard (music John Adams) created at the Geneva Grand-Théâtre, choreography by Giorgio Manchini. These are my first steps in the world of the dance: I used memories of my childhood for the costumes in Karlsruhe and Moving Space for the set design in Geneva. Das Land des Lächelns (F. Lehar) created at the Théâtre Pitoëff in Geneva, directed by G.Chevrolet and J.Natto conducted by Michel Dumonthay. Sets, costumes. All set in Vienna 1900 and Buddhist China for this famous operetta. EARLY WORK AS AN ASSISTANT 1989-2002: During this period, I assisted different set and costume designers: Claudie Gastine (Manon / Ruy Blas), Alain Germain (Il Tito), Wolfgang Gussman (Lulu), Roberto Platé (Etoiles), Paul Steinberg (Lohengrin), Pierre Strosser (Die Fledermaus) in différent theaters: Les Bouffes du Nord, The Grand-Théâtre de Genève, Le Théâtre de la Madeleine (Paris), l'Opéra Comique (Paris), l'Opéra de Nice, l'Opéra National de Paris, l'Opéra du Rhin (Strasbourg), The Züricher Schauspielhaus... Also David Belugou in 2002 for Les Galeries Lafayette's Christmast windows in Paris. AND MORE... MODELS, PROPS and PAINTING: - Creation of models for all my productions and other set designers. - Creation and production of most of the props in my productions.
