Deaf & Hear Alberta is dedicated to addressing the accessibility, advocacy, education and communication needs of
the Deaf, late deafened and hard of hearing. We remove barriers and build bridges to communication through
three distinct streams:
INTERPRETING & DEAF SERVICES - American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting, ASL training, counselling,
supports, and referrals
HEARING SERVICES - hearing loss awareness, management and support, as well as courses in speech
reading
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES - listening technology and communication, provide on-site assessments, assistive
technology and training
Deaf & Hear Alberta
Deaf & Hear Alberta se consacre aux besoins en matière d’accessibilité, de défense des droits, d’éducation et de
communication des Sourds, des personnes devenues sourdes (sourds tardifs) et des malentendants. Nous
supprimons les obstacles et nous construisons des ponts pour communiquer en fonction de trois courants
distincts :

CAG2015: From Possibility to Practice in Aging
The University of British Columbia has recently launched an innovative Master of Health Leadership and Policy
(MHLP) degree program. This one-year program enables mid-career professionals to enhance their technical
expertise while developing business and leadership skills. Jointly offered by the UBC School of Nursing and the
Faculty of Applied Science in collaboration with the Sauder School of Business, the program includes a specific
degree in Seniors Health Care. This full-time program begins January 2016. mhlp.ubc.ca
L’Université de la Colombie-Britannique a récemment lancé un programme de maîtrise de leadership en santé et
politiques de santé (Health Leadership and Policy [MHLP]). Ce programme d’un an permet aux professionnels en
milieu de carrière d’améliorer leur expertise technique tout en acquérant des habiletés dans les domaines des
affaires et du leadership. Conjointement offert par l’école d’infirmières et la faculté de sciences appliquées de
