IELTS One-day Preparation Course
This one-day preparation course is designed to familiarise you with the type of questions you will encounter
in the IELTS test and to improve your confidence and effectiveness by enabling you to practice the skills
needed for the various components of the IELTS test. After taking the course you will be better prepared for
the test, ensuring that you perform to the best of your ability. The trainer will cover aspects such as:
Content of IELTS / Listening techniques / Reading and Writing techniques / Interview techniques
The session will take a practical approach and the students will work together. You will be working with the
book How to Prepare for IELTS. It is essential that you bring the book for the course.
The courses run on Saturday from 10.00 to 17.00, with a lunch-break from 13.00 to 14.00.
The course fee is €95. You will receive a confirmation letter with all the necessary details to attend the
course. If the course is full we will call you to propose another date.
If you register for the course you also have to purchase the book How to Prepare for IELTS unless you
have bought it earlier. The book will be sent to you by registered mail as soon as we receive your order
form. You can also pick it up at the British Council reception.

How to Prepare for IELTS
How to prepare for IELTS tells you all you need to know to do your best in the exam:

it describes the different subtests

it explains what you need to do in the exam room

it shows you what sort of questions you can expect

it allows you to practice the skills you need to answer the questions.
How to prepare for IELTS is designed for candidates taking IELTS and is suitable for home study or for use
in class. The book and accompanying audio CD contain a range of practical exercises to prepare you for all
the subtests. The book comes complete with an answer key and a transcript of the CD recordings.
Official IELTS Practice Materials
The Official IELTS practice Materials gives the candidates the opportunity to test themselves to see whether
their English is at the level required. It contains a booklet with complete samples of the Listening, Reading,
Writing and Speaking modules and an audio CD.
