Purpose of the PIC
The purpose of this Public Information
Centre (PIC) is to:

Provide the public the opportunity to
review and comment on the study

Provide background on the study

Present the study process

Present Preliminary Design
Alternatives for comment

Present the evaluation method
proposed to select a Technically
Preferred Alternative

Discuss next steps
Dates and Locations
The PIC will follow a “drop-in” format
without formal presentations. The PIC will
be held on the following dates:
Morrison Hershfield Limited has been
retained by the Ministry of Transportation
to conduct a Preliminary Design and
Class Environmental Assessment for the
Wolfe Island Ferry and Docking
Improvements. As part of this process we
are hosting a round of Public Information
Centres to allow the public an opportunity
to review and discuss the study with
members of the Study Team.

two PICs held for the study. The second
is tentatively scheduled for Winter 2017.

Objet de la SIP
La séance d’information publique (SIP) a pour
objet de :

donner au public l’occasion d’examiner et
de commenter l’étude;

fournir le contexte de l’étude;

présenter le processus de l’étude;

présenter d’autres conceptions
préliminaires possibles aux fins de
commentaires;

présenter la méthode d’évaluation
proposée pour choisir une solution
techniquement préférable;

discuter des étapes suivantes.
Dates et lieux
Le ministère des Transports de l’Ontario
a retenu les services de Morrison
Hershfield Limited pour effectuer une
conception préliminaire et une évaluation
environnementale de portée générale sur
les améliorations au traversier et au quai
de l’île Wolfe. Dans le cadre de ce
processus, nous organisons une série de
séances d’information publiques pour
donner au public l’occasion d’examiner
l’étude avec les membres de l’équipe et
d’en discuter avec eux.
La SIP sera d’entrée libre, sans exposés
officiels, et ce, aux dates suivantes:
