Robert Brouillette est un avocat, un ingénieur ainsi qu’un agent de marque de
commerce (1978) et de brevet (1980) accrédité au Canada et aux USA. Il a
obtenu son Baccalauréat en génie civil de l’Université de Sherbrooke et son
Baccalauréat en Droit de l’Université Laval. Il est membre du Barreau du Québec
depuis 1977 et de l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec depuis 1972.
Me Brouillette a débuté sa carrière en droit chez Ogilvy Renault à Montréal en
1977. Il a fondé Brouillette Charpentier Fortin (maintenant BCF) en 1992 et
Brouillette et Associés, un cabinet d’avocats et d’agents de brevets et marques
ciblant les entrepreneurs et les innovateurs en 2005. Une majorité de ses clients
sont des bâtisseurs d’entreprises et plusieurs d’entre eux exploitent des
entreprises technologiques. Il est une sommité canadienne dans le domaine de
la vente directe. Il est un expert reconnu en propriété intellectuelle et en droit des
technologies (The Best Lawyers in Canada). Il possède la certification de
‘Certified Licensing Professional’ (CLP).
M. Brouillette a été président de l’exécutif de la division nationale de Propriété
Intellectuelle du Barreau Canadien. Il est membre depuis de nombreuses années
de différentes associations œuvrant dans le domaine de la propriété
intellectuelle, incluant Institut de Propriété Intellectuelle du Canada, Licensing
Executive Society, American Intellectual Property Law Association, International
Trademark Association ainsi que de du Réseau Action TI.
Il a été member du conseil d’administration d’Hydro-Québec entre 1998 et 2001
et d’Hydro-Québec Capitech et d’Hydro-Québec Industech entre 2001 et 2007. Il
est présentement membre du conseil d’administration ou du comité aviseur de
plusieurs entreprises dont : Groupe Iweb Inc., Investissements Mondias Inc.,
Leddartech Inc., Newtrax Holdings Inc., Simsmart Technologies Inc. et Transit
Éditeur Inc.
Il a investi à titre d’ange investisseur/mentor dans un bon nombre d’entreprises
en démarrage. Il est présentement membre d’Anges Québec et de Capital 16.

Robert Brouillette is a lawyer, a civil engineer and a patent and trademark agent.
He obtained his education in engineering at the University of Sherbrooke and his
education in law at the University of Laval. He became a member of the Order of
Engineers in 1972, a member of the Quebec Bar in 1977, a trademark agent in
1978 and a patent agent in 1980.
Mr. Brouillette began his professional career with Ogilvy Renault in 1977. He
founded Brouillette Charpentier Fortin (now BCF) in 1992. Mr. Brouillette recently
founded Brouillette & Partners a Law/Patent and Trademark firm focussing on
Entrepreneurs and Innovators. A majority of his clients are business builders and
a great number of them operate technological enterprises. He has become a
leading Canadian expert in the field of intellectual property, technology law and
direct sales. He is recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada as an expert in
Information Technology Law. He is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP).
Mr. Brouillette is a former president of the executive of the national division of
Intellectual Property Law of the Canadian Bar Association. He is a member of
different associations operating in the field of intellectual property including the
Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Licensing Executive Society, the
American Intellectual Property Law Association, International Trademark
Association and Réseau Action TI Québec.
He was a member of the board of directors of Hydro-Quebec between 1998 and
2001 and of Hydro-Quebec Capitech and of Hydro-Quebec Industech between
2001 and 2007. He is currently a member of the board of directors or advisory
committee of a number of companies inclusing: Iweb Group Inc., Investissements
Mondias Inc., Leddartech Inc., Newtrax Holdings Inc., Simsmart Technologies
Inc. and Transit Publisher Inc.
He is a member of Anges Québec and Capital 16 and has invested as an angel
investor/mentor in a number of start-ups.
