Bi-Lingual School Counsellor (HR233)
Full Time Temporary (1 year, 35 hours per week)
$51,699.00 - $61,543.00 annually

Position Summary
Our strength is our people, who together with their diverse backgrounds create a workplace where
excellence is valued and the atmosphere is both collaborative and forward-moving. Presently we are
looking for a skilled and innovative bi-lingual community counsellor to create change with families,
specializing in working with children age 7 and up as well as adolescents and their families in the
FrancoSud Schools.
As a member of the Family Outreach and Resilience Team, you will deliver innovative child and
family programming to French schools in Calgary & area. This work may include several modalities
such as family, individual, couple and group work to promote well-being and healthy relationship with
self, family, school and community.
Qualifications & Experience
 A Masters degree in Social Work or equivalent
 A passion for working with youth and families
 The ability to affect change in youth and families including training/experience in methods of
group education, social/behavioural sciences, skills in teaching/program design/group
facilitation, and related developmental/family/group dynamic theory as well as previous
experience working with families and people of all ages in a counselling environment

Description de tâches
Notre force est nos employés, qui travaillent ensemble avec leurs expériences diverses afin de créer un

Nous sommes, présentement, à la recherche d’un Intervenant Communautaire Bilingue qualifié,
innovateur et motivé à créer des changements positifs dans les familles fréquentant les écoles du
Conseil Scolaire Francosud. Cette personne travaillera avec des enfants de 7 ans et plus, des
adolescents et les familles de ceux-ci.
Comme membre de la ’Family Outreach and Resilience Team’, vous offrirai des services innovateurs
aux enfants et parents des écoles du Conseil Scolaire Francosud dans le secteur de Calgary.
Ce travail comprend plusieurs variantes différentes incluant du soutien individuel, familial, de couple
et de groupe en vue de promouvoir le bien-être personnel et les relations saines avec la famille, les
écoles et la communauté.
Expériences & Qualifications
 Maîtrise en Travail Social (ou équivalence);
 Passionné du travail d’intervenant avec les jeunes et les familles;

méthodes d’intervention (formation/expérience, théories cognitives-comportementales,
développement/création/animation de thérapie de groupe)
Habilité à travailler autant comme membre participant d’une équipe que de façon indépendante
et autonome;
Soif de nouvelles initiatives;
Excellentes habiletés de communication (verbale et écrite);
Bilingue en français et anglais;
