Pan-Canadian research on gender diversity, vulnerability and resilience: Building regional capacity
/Recherche pancanadienne sur la diversité de sexe et de genre, vulnérabilité et résilience : Renforcer
les capacités régionales
Purpose / but:
The day will consist of five sessions highlighting new researchers and new research from across Canada
in LBGT health research. The day will outline the future identification and development of succession
funding and planning for SVR research and grant submission following termination of SVR current
funding in the summer 2011. /
La journée comprendra cinq sessions mettant en valeur les nouveaux chercheurs oeuvrant dans le
domaine de la santé LGBT au Canada. Cette journée va permettre d’identifier les éléments de
programmation et de planifier la préparation des futures demandes de subvention d’une équipe SVR
pancanadienne à la fin de 2011.
Objectives/objectifs:
1) Identify new researchers in the LGBT research field and welcome them into the SVR community
/ Identifier les nouveaux chercheurs et nouvelles chercheures dans le domaine des études LGBT
et les accueillir au sein de la communauté SVR
2) Inform and disseminate new LBGT research with a regional focus / Développer les bases de
nouvelles recherches sur la santé LGBT avec un accent particulier sur le développement des
capacités régionales.
3) Build capacity to inform a pan-Canadian research grant for future funding / Développer les
bases d’une collaboration pancanadienne pour un projet de recherche subventionné pour les
années futures.

Le programme officiel sera disponible au début du mois d’octobre. Veuillez noter que :
le colloque est GRATUIT et s’adresse à tous les chercheurs et étudiants (membres réguliers,
affiliés ou non à SVR) dans le domaine de la diversité sexuelle et de genre en lien avec la santé.
25 bourses de $300 seront disponibles pour les étudiants qui soumettront une proposition
d’affiche (conditions s’appliqueront) . Les informations seront fournies dans l’appel de
proposition.
L’ inscription sera obligatoire afin de faciliter l’organisation de l’événement.
Tous les déjeuners et dîners seront servis sur place, gratuitement, pour tous les participants
inscrits.

The colloquium is FREE and is intended for all researchers and students (regular- affiliate SVR
members or not) in the field of sexual and gender diversity and health (broad sense).
25 grants of $300 each will be awarded to students who will submit a poster proposal
(conditions will apply).
Registration will be needed to facilitate the organisation of the event.
Breakfast and lunch will be served free for all registered participants.
