Background
Since 1997, Japanese-Tunisian cooperation in science and technology has gone through a new
era by starting and intensifying academic meetings. More than thirty joint seminars and
symposia have been organized since, accompanied by various exchanges of visiting researchers
in both directions. A new leap has been registered since the Japanese Society for the Promotion
of Science (JSPS), the main governmental funding institution for research in Japan, has become
one of the main official sponsors.
This year’s exceptionality, is that it will be held as a satellite event and just few days before the
World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
The 6th Tunisian-Japanese Seminar on Science, Technology and Culture (TJASSTC)
The 6th Edition of TJCST (TJCST-2005) will be organized by Borj-Cedria Science and
Technology Park (BC-STP) and the Alliance for Research on North Africa (ARENA) on
November 10th and 11th 2005. It will cover the following topics :
- Informatics, Mathematics, Management of Technological Innovation
- Biotechnology
- Environment including Water Resources in Arid Land and Energy
- Humanities including Culture, History, Japanese Language, Anthropology, etc.
On this occasion, Borj-Cedria Science and Technology Park invites all Japanese and Tunisian
researchers to participate to the TJCST-2005.
