Santa Cruz
Created in 2002, by musicians strongly accomplice, Santa Cruz plays with geography and
references. With their English lyrics, instrumentations and real knowledge of north American
traditional music, the band naturally founded itself in the American way. Its opening, its
melodies and its capacity to describe landscapes and interior adventures, gave the band a
singular identity in the actual music scene.
After 4 albums, Santa Cruz has its public and always marks with the classy style on stage of
the numerous lives.

As the name tells, Santa Cruz dives in the mystic America, burned by the sun, the desert and small towns, but this
is more than the cliché. The strong charm of Santa Cruz is almost entirely in the contrast between the two song
writers Bruno Green, and Piere-Vital Gérard. The song Flowers of my friends, touches very deep without forcing
emotion.
Magic
This is very important to remind that every member of Santa Cruz gives his own rock to the whole edification. The
alchemy is created by the mix of the voices always perfect!

The musicians
Jacques Auvergne > Bass and double bass
He was early on the road with Bruno Green with who he works on recordings and live since 1998. He also played
with Locus Solus, Dizzy Romeo, before he joined Rio Cinema Orchestra in 2007. In the same year he played with
new Yorker saxophone player and singer James Chance.
Vassili Caillosse > Pedal steel, banjo and guitar dobro
Born in 1971, he is autodidact. Professional musician since early 90es he collaborated to diverse formations like:
Rose Mary Lou, A Cake A Room, Orville Brody, DCA…
Pierre-Vital Gérard > Voice and acoustic guitar
In 1992, he founds the band Twin Bees. Then he plays with the Magic Surfers, Red, The Lost Minds. In 2003, he
creates with Thomas Poli (Montgomery) and Patrick Sourimany ( Bikini Machine), the trio El Oso.
Goulven Hamel > Electric guitar
He created his talented and singular guitar style in collaboration with Philippe Pascal, Olivier Mellano, Pierre Fablet…
He also follows Bruno Green on stage and CD.
Thomas Schaettel > Orgue, piano and keyboards
He starts in 1988, playing with the Roadrunners. In studio or in stage he collaborates with Bruno Green, MLr Lab,
Dalhia, Zézé Mago and the american musician Elliott Murphy.
Alex Thual > Drums
He starts with his passion for drums at 13 and enters the famous Drummers Collective of New York School. He also
played with Hanbirom, Kosmic Joker…
