TOURIST VISA FOR THAILAND
Belgian citizens visiting Thailand for tourism can enter Thailand without a Visa and stay for 30
days, provided they are in the possession of a return airline ticket and of a passport that is still
valid for at least 6 months.
Belgian tourists, who wish to stay longer than 30 days, have to apply for a tourist Visa at the
Embassy or a Thai Consulate BEFORE leaving to Thailand.
The following documents are required (documents PER person):
- 2 identity size photos in color (3,5 x 4,5 cm), taken within the last 6 months
- 1 copy of your Belgian identity card (or resident card in Belgium)
- The passport that is still valid for at least 6 months
- 1 Visa application form well filled in and signed
- 1 copy of the reservation of the flight tickets in and out Thailand
- 1 copy of a hotel reservation OR an invitation letter/mail from a person in Thailand with a full
address + 1 copy of this person’s identity card + proof that this person lives in Thailand
- If you are unemployed a proof of income (document from unemployment benefit, copy of
the last bank statement …)
- 30 € to pay cash per entry
If less than 18 years old (documents PER person):
- 2 identity size photos in color (3,5 x 4,5 cm), taken within the last 6 months
- 1 copy of the identity card of BOTH parents
- The passport that is still valid for at least 6 months
- 1 Visa application form well filled in and signed by BOTH parents
- 1 copy of the reservation of the flight tickets in and out Thailand
- 1 copy of a hotel reservation OR an invitation letter/mail from a person in Thailand with a full
address + 1 copy of this person’s identity card + proof that this person lives in Thailand
- 1 copy of the birth certificate
- 30 € to pay cash per entry
Please note that these documents are COMPULSORY to apply for the Visa and we will NOT take
your Visa request into consideration if one or more documents are missing!
THE CONSUL MAY ASK FOR MORE DOCUMENTS IF DEEMED NECESSARY
Visa submission time is from Monday to Friday from 9.30 till 12.00 O’clock ONLY
Visa pick up time is from Monday to Friday from 14.00 to 15.00 O’clock ONLY
Please kindly be informed that there is no copy service provided at the Embassy
