pour des séjours de 1 à 48 semaines.

L’école
Les étudiants ont un accès libre à des ordinateurs
avec internet (et au Wi-Fi gratuit), une salle
de sport, une salle de pause avec réfrigérateur,
micro-ondes et une machine à café, ainsi qu’un
centre de conditionnement physique.

The pedagogical experience of MLS ranges from
training Canadian officials and business people
in both English and French to students from all
over the world who come to Canada for a stay of
1 to 48 weeks.
MLS has a tradition of delivering highly
structured programs. These programs are
designed and constantly updated to help students
develop a solid grasp of the language, which
they are then encouraged to use in the real
life environment outside school. Courses are
rigorous and challenging so that students achieve
maximum results.
The courses are purposed-designed for
building linguistic confidence and effective
communication skills for general, academic or
professional purposes.
Our school is conveniently located in downtown
Montreal so that students can easily enjoy all
cultural and recreational facilities available.
MLS offers a spacious, comfortable and a wellequipped study environment.
Facilities
Students have free access to computers with
Wi-Fi, a lounge with a fridge, microwave, and a
coffee machine, as well as a fitness centre.

Stages
n Programme Intensif (1 : 8)
Choisir le programme Intensif (8 personnes
maximum), c’est favoriser une approche
dynamique pour parfaire sa capacité à
communiquer à l’oral et à l’écrit dans une
langue étrangère. Des sessions de nature
différente sont proposées non seulement
pour développer la correction linguistique du
participant, mais également pour lui permettre
de surmonter ses inhibitions et d’utiliser la
langue de manière éloquente, quelle que soit la
situation.
Dans ce programme, l’étudiant cherche à
atteindre des objectifs tels que :
• gagner en confiance pour s’exprimer
à l’oral dans la langue (présentations,
débats, etc.) ;
• améliorer ses connaissances
grammaticales et syntaxiques ;
• comprendre et extraire des informations
d’un document écrit (rapport, article de
presse, etc.) ;
• améliorer la fluidité du langage afin
de réussir un examen universitaire ou
contribuer à développer sa carrière.
Préparation à un test
Les stagiaires qui souhaitent passer un examen
officiel (IELTS, TFI, TOEFL, TOEIC)
recevront une préparation spécifique afin
d’obtenir les résultats désirés aux épreuves.

to improving language performance in both
speaking and writing. This program is practicebased using quasi-authentic situations. A

This is the ultimate language training program
designed for the most ambitious learners.
Students learn at their own pace while
receiving 100% of the teacher’s attention in
this tailor-made course. The teacher coaches
the participant for 3, 4, 5 or 6 hours every day,
focusing on the areas that need development.
This is a highly personalized program designed
to give the students the skills, knowledge and
confidence required to succeed. It is of benefit
for students of all abilities from beginner to
advanced.
Course content
During this course the student works to reach
goals in areas such as:
• improving specific areas of weakness in
grammar, vocabulary or pronunciation
• achieving specific tasks such as passing an
exam
• achieving business goals such as giving

Terms and Conditions
How to register for a program
To secure a place in a MLS program, please return the
enrolment form together with payment or book online at
www.mlsinc.ca
Payment of fees
On receipt of the application and payment, a letter of
confirmation is sent with a Statement of Fees which should
be settled at least 4 weeks before the program starting date. In
the case of registration fewer than 6 weeks before the program
starting date, the full amount of the cost of the program
must be sent with the Registration Form. PLEASE NOTE:
students will not be allowed to start their program unless FULL
PAYMENT has been received by MLS.
Homestay address
Students will receive details of their Homestay address at least
5 days before the program start date, unless they enrol late.
This enables those students traveling independently to let the
host family know of their approximate time of arrival.
Late enrolments
There is no registration deadline for programs, but it is
advisable to book at least 1 month before the program start
date.
Insurance
All international students who are in Canada must have
their own medical insurance. Students must provide proof of
coverage on the first day of school or they will not be admitted
to class. Students who do not possess medical insurance on
the first day of school will be required to purchase it. Students
will be liable for the full costs of any medical treatment they
receive in Canada.
Immigration and Visas
Students are responsible for ensuring that they have the
correct visa status to study in Canada. Full details of visa
requirements are available at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/
study/study.asp. Students who will study in the Province of
Quebec for more than 26 weeks will need to obtain a Certificat
d’acceptation du Québec (CAQ). Full details are available
at http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigratesettle/students/index.html . MLS will advise Immigration
Canada on international students studying on student
authorization who withdraw from MLS.
Cancellation conditions before the program begins
If MLS receives the cancellation before the program starting
date MLS will retain the deposit. If a student is denied a visitor
visa or study permit and provides MLS with a copy of the
rejection letter on or before the first day of classes, MLS will
refund the course fees.
Cancellation conditions once the program has started
The student must give written notice to the Director of
Studies. A cancellation fee of 1 week’s program fees may be
charged. The remaining funds will be refunded. Students who
enroll or pay through an educational agent and are granted a
refund will receive that refund from the agent. Students who
pay MLS directly will be refunded by wire transfer. No fees
will be transferred to another student in lieu of a refund. If a
student wishes to be absent from the program for 1 or 2 weeks
for the purposes of taking a holiday s/he must give the Director
of Studies at least 2 week’s notice in writing. Students will
have this time deferred to the end of their program.

Upgrading and Downgrading programs.
Upon written notice to the Director of Studies, students may
transfer to another program provided there is a space available.
Students who choose to exchange their original choice of
program for one of greater value must pay the difference
between the two at the time of requesting the upgrade.
Attendance
Students are expected to attend all classes and be on time.
Teachers may refuse entrance to a student who arrives 10
minutes after the start of the class. Students must attend at
least 85% of their classes to receive a graduation certificate.
Students intending to be absent from class must advise the
Director of Studies in writing. In the case of illness, students
must immediately advise the school by telephone.
Further Conditions
MLS only acts as an intermediary between its students and
educational agencies on the one hand and host families/host
family providers on the other. Under no circumstances can it
be held responsible for any delay or accident during a journey
nor can it be held responsible for any accident which may
happen during the student’s stay with the host family. MLS
will, however, endeavour to defend the student’s interests in
the event of breach of contract on the part of the educational
agency or the host family / host family provider.
Wherever it is agreed between MLS and a student that it
would be beneficial for the student to be moved to another
MLS program, only a program of equivalent cost will be offered
by MLS.
MLS reserves the right to cancel a program, to offer
alternatives dates or venues, and to makes changes to program
arrangements as required.
MLS reserves the right to use photographs taken during
programs to illustrate its promotional material. If a student
wishes that his or her photo should not appear on this
material, they should advise the school during the photo shoot.
These photos have no commercial or contractual value.
The MLS brochure, issued by MLS, gives the only information
that can be related to in the event of a disagreement between
the student and MLS. MLS reserves the right to repatriate, at
the student’s expense and without a warning letter, any student
committing a serious offence, especially one involving
the police.
