On an educational plan a noble tradition was introduced
throughout the ages by Malikite Ulemas: publications that aim to direct
children, teaching them what they have to know in the matter of
religion and what they shouldn’t ignore in the matter of monotheism
and religious practice and comportments. Among the most famous
books on the matter we can cite: « Adab al Mu’alimine » by
Mohammed Ibn Abdesalam, known under the name of Ibn Sahnun (d.
256 H) and « ar Risala al Mufasala li Ahwal al Muta’alimine wa Ahkam
al Mu’alimine wal Muta’alimine » by Abi al Hasan al Qabisi (d. 403 H)
and « Talqin al Walid » by Abi Mohammed Abdelhaq al Ishbili (d. 581
H) and « Arjuzate al Walidane wal Fard wal Masnun » by Yahya Ibn
‘Omar ibn Sa’dun ibn Tamam ibn Mohammed al Azdi al Qurtubi (d.
567 H) ; all these books are published on a regular basis.
The present book belongs to the same trend and was composed
by the Alim, Master in [Coranic] reading and grammarian Abu Sirhan
Mas’ud ibn Mohammed ibn ‘Ali Jamu’ as Sijilmassi al Fasi (died 1119
H), buried in Salé. He is one of the most famous al Qarawiyine
mosque Ulemas of the end of 11th/beginning of the 12th Hejira
centuries and was known for his numerous publications and for his
mastering of several sciences.
We point out the fact that the author composed this book in the
same way as the famous « Murshid al Mu’in ‘ala ad Daruri min ‘Ulum
ad Din » written by the ‘Alim ‘Abdelwahid Ibn ‘Ashir al Andalusi (d.
1040 H) from which he inspired.
In order to complete children’s [religious] education the author God bless him! gave an explicit title to the book within which he
instructs on what to know concerning Islam and faith, concerning
noble values to acquire and concerning purification and prayer. In the
book we also find advice and directions necessary to the Muslim in
order to improve himself.
In order to contribute to the strengthening of Islamic behavior, faith
and Sharia rules
the Patrimony Revival, Research and Studies Centre of the
Muhammadan League of Religious Scholars decided to publish this
book. Mr Taghik Tatmi -researcher in the Centre- consulted 3
manuscripts, among which one of the author, and did a praiseworthy
work in establishing and annotating it.

Sur le plan pédagogique, une tradition noble s’est instituée à
travers le temps chez les Oulémas malékites, celle des publications
qui ont pour but d’orienter les enfants en leur explicitant ce qu’il faut
savoir en matière de religion et ce qu’il convient de ne pas ignorer
concernant le monothéisme ainsi que les pratiques et les
comportements religieux. Parmi les ouvrages les plus célèbres l’on
peur citer : « Adab al Mou’alimine » de Mohammed Ibn Abdesalam,
connu sous le nom de Ibn Sahnoun (m. 256 H) et « ar Risala al
Moufasala li Ahwal al Mouta’alimine wa Ahkam al Mou’alimine wal
Mouta’alimine » de Abi al Hasan al Qabisi (m. 403 H) et « Talqin al
Walid » de Abi Mohammed Abdelhaq al Ishbili (m. 581 H) et l’ouvrage
cordouan intitulé « Arjouzate al Walidane wal Fard wal Masnoune »
de Yahya Ibn ‘Omar ibn Sa’doune ibn Tamam ibn Mohammed al Azdi
al Qourtoubi (m. 567 H) ; tous ces livres sont régulièrement édités.
Le présent ouvrage appartient à la même veine et a été composé
par le ‘Alem, Maître en lecture [coranique] et grammairien Abou
Sirhan Mas’oud ibn Mohammed ibn ‘Ali Jamou’ as Sijilmassi al Fassi
(m. 1119 H) et enterré à Salé. Il l’un des célèbres Oulémas de la
mosquée al Qarawiyine de la fin du 11e/début du 12e siècles de
l’Hégire, connu pour le nombre de ses publications et pour sa maîtrise
de nombreuses sciences.
Il faut remarquer que l’auteur a composé son livre sous la forme
du célèbre « Mourshid al Mou’ine ‘ala ad Darouri min ‘Ouloum ad
Din » du ‘Alem ‘Abdelwahid Ibn ‘Ashir al Andaloussi (m. 1040 H) dont
il s’est inspiré.
L’auteur -que Dieu le prenne en sa sainte miséricorde !- a donné
un titre explicite à son livre dans lequel il donne des instructions aux
enfants sur ce qu’ils doivent savoir de l’Islam et de la foi, des nobles
valeurs dont il faut s’imprégner et des règles concernant la purification
et la prière afin de compléter leur éducation [religieuse]. L’ouvrage
comprend aussi des conseils et des orientations essentielles au
musulman pour s’améliorer sur le plan personnel et comportemental.
Dans le but de contribuer à l’affermissement des règles de la
Chari’a, de la foi et des comportements islamiques, le Centre des
Etudes, de Recherche et de Revivification du Patrimoine de la Rabita
Mohammadia des Oulémas a pris l’initiative de publier cet ouvrage.
M. Taghik Tatmi - chercheur au centre - a consulté 3 manuscrits dont
l’un de l’auteur, et a accompli des efforts louables pour l’établir et
l’annoter.
