The low voltage electrical installation calculation program. TRACE
The low voltage electrical installation
calculation program.
TRACE-ELEC-CALC is useful in every aspect of an
electric installation, from the early design up to the
maintenance, through the production and inspection.
TRACE-ELEC-CALC is also very much appreciated in
technical education.
TRACE-ELEC-CALC is a software package that enables the calculation of low voltage electrical
installations, following the specifications of the C15-500 guide as well as complying with the
various French and international standards (NF C 15-100, RGIE, IEC364, HD 384, CEI 64, ...).
TRACE-ELEC-CALC calculates conductors' cross-sections, short-circuit currents, voltage falls
and the measurement of sources and protections. It can manage complex and multiple sources
for installations of all size, it includes power balance calculation and a help for high voltage
electrical networks calculations.
The graphical interface of TRACE-ELEC-CALC was specifically and ergonomically designed to
deal easily and quickly with any type of installation whatever its complexity.
TRACE-ELEC-CALC has a publishing module for the printing and the export of the installation
calculation notes under different layouts, and an interface to AutoCAD ® enabling export of
installation diagram to DWG drawing format.
TRACE-ELEC-CALC's main assets remain in its speed and user-friendliness, its power of
calculation, its capacity to simulate and its educational character, enabling to deal in a new way
with the variety and the complexity of standards and uses in this domain.
Allows you to work with different
electrical manufacturers parts, these
can be selected automatically by
matching project elements against
valid parts, or manually using specific
filter parameters (selectivity, back-up,
…)
The normative context
The publication, in May, 1997, of the UTE C 15-500 guide
(report CENELEC R064-003) introduced the harmonization of
rules with respect to the standards IEC. Based on this guide,
through the installations calculations, TRACE-ELEC-CALC
complies with the various standards and\or the national
regulations (NF C 15-100 in France, RGIE in Belgium). TRACEELEC-CALC obtained the technical compliance UTE 15L-604
for France and technical conformity CEBEC for Belgium (License 57478101).
In France, the standard imposes numerous constraints: since
May, 1998, only softwares based on the guide UTE C 15-500
can be commercialized and since May, 1999, new electrical
installations must be designed with a software compliant with
the UTE C15 500 guide. Under the order of October 10th, 2000
the manager site has to yield to the control authority the
single-line drawing of the installations along with the
calculation notes.
TRACE-ELEC-CALC is a software package that enables to calculate or to verify the
measurement of an electric installation with respect to regulations imposed by the General
Regulation on the Electrical Installations - R.G.I.E and the technical compliance CEBEC
57478101
A software package of calculation remains a tool to measure and/or to check but cannot lead
the user to conclude that the practical implementation of the installation is or will be in
accordance with the RGIE, without a in-depth exam on site by a body of approved control.
