The installation of the oxygen holder onto the
back of the scooter seat significantly increases the length of the scooter. When turning the scooter or swiveling the scooter seat,
it is important to take note of this increased
length - otherwise, injury or damage may
occur.
SAFETY SUMMARY
The following recommendations are made for the
safe and proper installation and use of the Oxygen Holder:
When using nasal or masked type administering equipment, oxygen or air tubing MUST
be routed and secured properly to ensure
that the tubing does NOT become entangled, kinked or severed.
GENERAL WARNINGS
DO NOT install this equipment without first
reading and understanding this instruction
sheet. If you are unable to understand the
Warnings, Cautions and Instructions, contact
a healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel if applicable, before attempting to install this equipment - otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
Ensure the seat is locked into the forward position BEFORE operating the scooter - otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
INSTALLATION WARNINGS
INSTALLING THE OXYGEN HOLDER
(FIGURE 1)
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and
BEFORE use, make sure that all attaching
hardware is tightened securely.
NOTE: Refer to the INSTALLATION WARNINGS in the
SAFETY SUMMARY of this instruction sheet.
USER WARNINGS
Contact your oxygen supplier for instructions
in the use of oxygen. EXTREME care MUST be
exercised when using oxygen in close proximity to electric circuits.
NOTE: Oxygen holders with a 4-3/8-inch mounting tube
are for scooters with the CONTOUR seat. Oxygen holders with a 6-inch mounting tube are for scooters with the
DELUXE seat.
The Invacare oxygen holder is designed to
be used in conjunction with oxygen cylinder
models MD15 and ME24 ONLY.
1. Install the mounting tube of the oxygen holder into the
accessory tube located on the back of the scooter seat.
NOTE: Scooters may include a mounting hand knob AND
a mounting nut and bolt for the accessory tube, depending on model type.
To maintain safety, use ONLY Invacare oxygen cylinder accessories (i.e. regulator, oxygen demand devices).
2. Position the appropriate fastener (mounting hand
knob or mounting nut and bolt) into the welded nut on
the accessory tube.
DO NOT use the oxygen holder for anything
other than it’s intended purpose of supporting an oxygen cylinder - otherwise, injury or
damage may occur.
DO NOT attempt to modify the oxygen holder
to fit any other type of scooter. The oxygen
holder was designed specifically for Invacare
scooters ONLY.

3. Perform one (1) of the following:
4. If necessary, position the warning label in the appropriate language (French Canadian or Domestic Spanish) over the existing English warning label. (DETAIL
“A” of FIGURE 1).
A. Scooters using the MOUNTING HAND KNOB:
1. Grip the mounting hand knob firmly, and securely tighten it.
5. Thread the two (2) clamp knobs through the two (2)
welded nuts on the upper support of the oxygen holder,
and position the two (2) protective caps on the end of
the clamp knobs.
B. Scooters using the MOUNTING NUT AND
BOLT:
1. Using a hand wrench, securely tighten the
mounting bolt.
6. Repeat STEP 5 for the two (2) clamp knobs on the
lower support of the oxygen holder.
2. Thread the mounting nut over the bolt until it is
secure against the welded nut on the accessory tube.

LIMITED WARRANTY
PLEASE NOTE: THE WARRANTY BELOW HAS BEEN DRAFTED TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL LAW APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED AFTER JULY 4, 1975.
This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser/user of our products.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which
vary from state to state.
Invacare warrants its product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1)
year for the original purchaser. If within such warranty period any such product shall be proven
to be defective, such product shall be repaired or replaced, at Invacare's option. This warranty
does not include any labor or shipping charges incurred in replacement part installation or
repair of any such product. Invacare's sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under this
warranty shall be limited to such repair and/or replacement.
For warranty service, please contact the dealer from whom you purchased your Invacare
product. In the event you do not receive satisfactory warranty service, please write directly
to Invacare at the address on the back cover. Provide dealer's name, address, model number, date of purchase, indicate nature of the defect and, if the product is serialized, indicate
the serial number.
Invacare Corporation will issue a return authorization. The defective unit or parts must be returned
for warranty inspection using the serial number, when applicable, as identification within thirty (30)
days of return authorization date. DO NOT return products to our factory without our prior consent.
C.O.D. shipments will be refused; please prepay shipping charges.
LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS: THE WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TO PROBLEMS ARISING FROM NORMAL WEAR OR FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE ENCLOSED INSTRUCTIONS. IN ADDITION, THE FOREGOING
WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TO SERIAL NUMBERED PRODUCTS IF THE SERIAL NUMBER HAS BEEN

NOTE: Le porte-oxygène muni d’un tube de montage de
4 et 3/8 po. convient aux triporteurs avec siège MOULÉ.
Le porte-oxygène muni d’un tube de montage de 6 po.
convient aux triporteurs avec siège DELUXE.
Le porte-oxygène Invacare est conçu pour
une utilisation avec les modèles de cylindres
MD15 et ME24 SEULEMENT.
1. Installer le tube de montage du porte-oxygène dans
le tube pour accessoire situé à l’arrière du siège du
triporteur.
Pour assurer votre sécurité, utilisez SEULEMENT
les accessoires de cylindres à oxygène
Invacare (i.e. régulateur, appareil à
oxygénation).
NOTE: Selon le modèle, les tripoteurs peuvent comporter
un bouton de montage manuel ET un écrou et un boulon
de montage pour le tube de l’accessoire.
NE PAS utiliser le porte-oxygène à d’autres
fins que pour porter des cylindres d’oxygène,
sans quoi des blessures ou des dommages
peuvent survenir.
2. Placer l’attache appropriée (bouton de montage
manuel ou écrou et boulon de montage ) dans l’écrou
soudé du tube pour accessoire.

3. Exécuter une des étapes suivantes:
4. Si nécessaire, coller l’étiquette d’avertissement au bon
endroit (français canadien ou espagnol) sur l’étiquette
d’avertissement anglaise (SCHÉMA “A” de la FIGURE 1).
A. Tripoteur avec BOUTON DE MONTAGE MANUEL:
1. Saisir le bouton de montage manuel
fermement et bien le serrer.

B. Triporteur avec ÉCROU ET BOULON DE MONTAGE :
1. À l’aide d’une clé à main, bien serrer le boulon
de montage.
Visser les deux (2) boutons d’attache dans les deux
(2) écrous soudés du support supérieur du porteoxygène et placer les deux (2) capuchons de protection à l’extrémité des boutons d’attache.
6. Répéter l’ÉTAPE 5 pour les deux (2) boutons d’attache
du support inférieur du porte-oxygène.
2. Visser l’écrou de montage sur le boulon
jusqu’à ce qu’il soit contre l’écrou soudé sur
le tube de l’accessoire.

ADVERTENCIAS AL USUARIO
NOTA: Inspeccione todas las piezas por cualquier daño

oxígeno para usarlo en otro tipo de escúter.
El sostenedor de cilindros de oxígeno fue
diseñado especialmente para ser usado en
los escúters Invacare SOLAMENTE.
SUMARIO DE PRECAUCIONES
Al instalar el sostenedor de cilindros de
oxígeno en el lado de atrás del asiento del
escúter aumenta significantemente el
tamaño del escúter. Cuando de una vuelta
con el escúter o gire el asiento del mismo,
es importante que tome nota del aumento
del tamaño. De otro modo, herida personal
o daño pueden ocurrir.
Las recomendaciones siguientes se hacen para
la segura y apropiada instalación y uso de los
sostenedores de cilindros de oxígeno:
ADVERTENCIAS GENERALES
NO instale este equipo sin antes leer y
entender esta hoja de instrucciones. Si tiene
dificultad en entender las Advertencias,
Precauciones e Instrucciones, póngase en
contacto con un profesional de la salud, su
proveedor o personal técnico si aplica, antes de intentar instalar este equipo. De otro
modo, herida personal o daño pueden
ocurrir.
Cuando use equipo de administrar oxígeno
o aire con máscara o cánula nasal, el tubo
DEBE de ser orientado y asegurado
apropiadamente para asegurarse de que
dicho tubo NO se enrede, doble o sea
dañado.
ADVERTENCIAS SOBRE LA INSTALACION
Asegúrese de que el asiento quede bien

El sostenedor de oxígeno Invacare ha sido
diseñado para ser usado con los cilindros de
oxígeno modelos MD15 y ME24 SOLAMENTE.
NOTA: Los sostenedores de cilindros de oxígeno con un
tubo soporte de 4-3/8” , son para los escúters con asiento
de CONTORNO. Los sostenedores de cilindros de
oxígeno con un tubo soporte de 6 pulgadas, son para
escúters con asiento DELUXE.
Para mantener medidas de seguridad, use
SOLAMENTE accesorios para cilindros de
oxígeno Invacare (por ejemplo: reguladores,
systemas que proveen oxígeno a
demanda).
1. Instale el tubo soporte del sostenedor de oxígeno en
el tubo accesorio localizado atrás del asiento del
escúter.
NO use el sostenedor de cilindros de oxígeno
para otro propósito que no sea el de
sostener un cilindro de oxígeno. De otro
modo, herida personal o daño pueden
ocurrir.
NOTA: Ciertos escúters incluirán un botón de apretar con
la mano Y una tuerca y tornillo para el tubo accesorio,
dependiendo del modelo.
2. Coloque (el botón de apretar con la mano o la tuerca
y el tornillo) en la tuerca soldada en el tubo accesorio.

A. En los escúters que usan EL BOTON DE
APRETAR CON LA MANO:
1. Agarre el botón fírmemente y aprételo bien.
1. Usando una llave mecánica de mano, aprete
bien el tornillo.
5. Coloque los dos (2) botones de la abrazadera a través
de las dos (2) tuercas soldadas del soporte superior
del sostenedor de cilindros de oxígeno, y posicione
las dos (2) tapas protectoras en las puntas de los
botones de la abrazadera.
2. Coloque la tuerca enroscándola en el tornillo
hasta que llegue y quede bien apretada contra la tuerca soldada en el tubo accesorio.
6. Repita el PASO 5 en los dos (2) botones de la
abrazadera del soporte inferior, del sostenedor de
cilindros de oxígeno.

Sírvase proveer nombre, dirección, número del modelo, fecha de compra e indique la
naturaleza del defecto. Y, si el producto tiene un número de serie, también incluya dicho
número.
Invacare Coporation le proveerá un número de registro. La unidad o partes bajo garantía
deben de ser enviadas para inspección, unsando el número de serie, cuando aplica, como
identificación, dentro de treinta (30) días después de la fecha en que se expidió el número de
resgistro. NO envíe a la fábrica productos sin previo consentimiento. Entregas C.O.D. serán
rehusadas. Sírvase pagar los cargos de envío.
LIMITACIONES Y EXCLUSIONES: LA GARANTIA NO DEBE DE APLICAR A PROBLEMAS COMMO
RESULTADO DE DESGASTE NORMAL O POR NO ADHERIRSE A LAS INSTRUCCIONES ADJUNTAS.
ADICIONALMENTE, LA WARANTIA NO DEBE DE APLICAR A PRODUCTOS CUYO NUMERO DE SERIE
HA SIDO REMOVIDO O MUTILADO, QUE HAN SIDO SUJETOS A NEGLIGENCIA, ACCIDENTE,
OPERACION INAPROPIADA, MANTENIMIENTO Y ALMACENAMIENTO INAPROPIADO, O A
PRODUCTOS MODIFICADOS SIN EL CONSENTIMIENTO EXPRESO DE INVACARE POR ESCRITO
(INCLUYENDO, PERO NO LIMITADO A, MODIFICACION POR MEDIO DEL USO NO AUTORIZADO
DE PARTES O ACCESORIOS) O PRODUCTOS DAÑADOS DEBIDO A REPARACIONES HECHAS CON
PIEZAS NO AUTORIZADAS NI ESPECIFICADAS POR INVACARE, O PRODUCTOS DAÑADOS POR
CIRCUNSTANCIAS TOTALMENTE FUERA DEL CONTROL DE INVACARE. PRODUCTOS REPARADOS
POR CUALQUIERA QUE NO SEA UN DISTRIBUIDOR AUTORIZADO POR INVACARE. TAL EVALUACION
SERA DETERMINADA POR INVACARE SOLAMENTE.
LA GARANTIA QUE PRECEDE ES EXCLUSIVA Y TOMA EL LUGAR DE CUALQUIER OTRA GARANTIA
EXPRESA. GARANTIAS IMPLICITAS, SI ACASO, INCLUYENDO GARANTIAS IMPLICITAS MARCANTILES
O ADAPTADAS PARA UN PROPOSITO EN PARTICULAR.
NO SE DEBE DE EXTENDER LA DURACION DE LA GARANTIA EXPRESADA AQUI, Y NUESTRA
OBLIGACION POR VIOLACIONES A CUALQUIER GARANTIA IMPLICITA DEBE SER LIMITADA A LA
REPARACION O REEMPLAZO DEL PRODUCTO DEFECTUOSO CONFORME A LOS TERMINOS AQUI
