The Goldsmith family's magnificent 560 hectare estate in the south of Spain, near to
the village of Benahavis, is also the location of this charming villa. The owners
furnished the private villa, which they use as a guest hide-away, with Spanish and
European antiques. This haven of peace and privacy sits in the delightful country side,
next to the Guadalmina River.
The luxury villa has a charming Provencal ambience to it. The spacious sitting room
with dining area opens directly onto the terraces and is prettily furnished and
decorated with antique traditional plates and brightened up with splashes of colour.
Fresh blue and white striped carpets and cushion covers are a trademark of this
private country house.
Sleeping accommodation for ten is provided in five bedrooms. Four of these have
generous proportions and lovely bathrooms. The fifth bedroom is an attic twin
bedroom, accesses via a steep set of stairs – ideal for a nanny of two children.
The living areas of the house open onto the shaded terraces with soft-seating outdoor
furniture and a large roof terrace with lovely day beds. The 12×7sqm heated pool is
very secluded at the rear of the house and can be accessed directly from the roof
terrace by a staircase or through the house. The huge and perfectly manicured lawn is
ideal for a game of family cricket.
The property rental includes the services of a housekeeper for 7 hours per day and the
preparation of breakfast and lunch forms part of this service.
