IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
MUSIC THERAPY WORLD JOURNAL INDEX (MTWJI)
The Canadian Journal of Music Therapy and 11 other prominent music therapy journals have
now been indexed in a new bibliographic and full-text database that is now accessible via the
internet. This new database is the Music Therapy World Journal Index (MTWJI). The Canadian
Association for Music Therapy was pleased to be a part of this exciting project and advise our
members of this rich resource for music therapy research.
To access the site please follow these directions:
1. go to www.musictherapyworld.net
2. click on the symbol of the elephant with the text "structured review databases" at the top of the
screen
on accessing this page you see a list of databases: " music therapy world journal index",
"australian journal of music therapy", "music therapy today" and most importantly: "canadian
journal of music therapy"!!
3. by clicking on the text "canadian journal of music therapy" you will enter the database of all"
Canadian Journal of Music Therapy" articles
4. you can search for words included in all of the articles included in the database. Alongside the
ability to search for author's names, or words appearing in the article titles, we have created a
new, unsurpassed, search possibility in which the user can search for every single word
appearing the in original articles using the entry field, "Words appearing anywhere in the text
(including full text)". This has been made possible by completing a text recognition process during
the steps of digitalization. This form of searching allows the user to identify words that may not
appear in the title - a facility that ensures the identification of relevant material.
5. Once you have identified the article you are searching for you may view the original article by
clicking on the symbol of the grey hard drive with a blue arrow pointing downwards.
6. After clicking on the title, you can scroll down in the Details window and add the bibliographic
reference to your personal list. In this way, you can create your own personal biobliography that
can be downloaded and used in a word processing programme (Word etc.. This is great when
referencing or citing identified articles.

musicothérapie, ont été indexées dans une banque de données contenant les bibliographies et le
contenu intégral des articles. Cette banque de données est accessible via Internet et se nomme
"Index de la Revue mondiale de musicothérapie" (Music Therapy World Journal Index: MTWJI).
L'Association de Musicothérapie du Canada est fière de faire partie de ce projet très intéressant.

de la Revue canadienne de musicothérapie.
Vous pouvez procéder à une recherche de mots inclus dans les articles de la banque de
données. En plus de pouvoir exécuter une recherche avec le nom des auteurs ou d'un
mot apparaissant dans le titre d'un article, nous avons créé une nouvelle possibilité de
recherche en utilisant un mot apparaissant n'importe où dans le texte original d'un article
en appuyant sur le bouton du domaine: "Words appearing anywhere in the text (including
full text)" (Mots apparaissants n'importe où dans le texte; textes intégraux inclus). Ce
procédé est rendu possible par le processus de reconnaissance de texte lors des étapes
de digitalisation. Ceci permet à l'utilisateur d'identifier des mots qui n'apparaissaient pas
dans le titre; ce qui assure l'identification de contenu pertinent.
Lorsque vous avez identifié l'article que vous recherchiez, vous pouvez visionner l'article
original en appuyant sur le symbole du disque dur gris avec une flèche bleue pointant
vers le bas.
Après avoir sélectionné le titre, vous pouvez avancer dans la fenêtre des détails et
ajouter la référence bibliographique à votre liste personnelle. Par ce processus, vous
pouvez vous créer votre bibliographie personnelle qui peut ensuite être sauvegardée et
utilisée par un programme de traitement de texte tel "WORD". Cela est très appréciable
lorsqu'on veut inclure des références ou des citations d'articles.
