Merci à celles et ceux qui ont suivi les indications clairement données dans
le cours et qui ont répondu sur les feuilles du devoir telles qu'imprimées
dans le cours.
Quant aux autres, elles et ils ne m'ont vraiment pas facilité la tâche !!!
Je ne garde aucune trace des notes et j'insiste pour bien vous faire
comprendre que le seul intérêt des devoirs est de vous révéler vos points
faibles afin de pouvoir y porter remède.
Beaucoup ont perdu des points en ne respectant pas les consignes. J'ai
fait un effort de clarté et de précision, à vous d'y répondre en les suivant
fidèlement.
Sauf précision contraire, vous prenez toujours un risque inutile en
proposant deux possibilités de réponse pour une question. En effet, si
l'une d'elles est fausse, votre réponse est considérée comme fausse car ce
n'est pas au correcteur de faire le bon choix.

a) Ecrivez les mots du texte ci-dessous qui les PREMIERS
correspondent aux schémas accentuels proposés. Ignorez les noms
propres. N'écrivez jamais plus d'un mot par schéma. Il n'y a pas

"It is increasingly likely that hundreds of millions of people will be
displaced from their homelands in the near future as a result of
global warming. That is the stark warning of economist and climate
change expert Lord Stern following the news last week that
concentrations of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere had reached a
level of 400 parts per million (ppm).
Massive movements of people are likely to occur over the rest of
the century because global temperatures are likely to rise to by up
to 5C because carbon dioxide levels have risen unabated for 50
years, said Stern, who is head of the Grantham Research Institute
on Climate Change.
"When temperatures rise to that level, we will have disrupted
weather patterns and spreading deserts," he said. "Hundreds of
millions of people will be forced to leave their homelands because
their crops and animals will have died. The trouble will come when
they try to migrate into new lands, however. That will bring them
into armed conflict with people already living there. Nor will it be
an occasional occurrence. It could become a permanent feature of
life on Earth."
The news that atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have reached
400ppm has been seized on by experts because that level brings
the world close to the point where it becomes inevitable that it will
experience a catastrophic rise in temperatures. Scientists have
warned for decades of the danger of allowing industrial outputs of
carbon dioxide to rise unchecked.
Instead, these outputs have accelerated. In the 1960s, carbon
dioxide levels rose at a rate of 0.7ppm a year. Today, they rise at
2.1ppm, as more nations become industrialised and increase
outputs from their factories and power plants. The last time the
Earth's atmosphere had 400ppm carbon dioxide, the Arctic was icefree and sea levels were 40 metres higher..."

b) Ecrivez le numéro correspondant à la prononciation de la voyelle
accentuée.
Exemple : si SOLUTION se trouvait dans le tableau, il faudrait
écrire 11 . En effet, c'est la deuxième syllabe de "soLUtion" qui est
accentuée et le son vocalique ("voyelle") est le même que dans 11
SHOE.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland reveals the results of a
targeted study that has found undeclared horse DNA in frozen
beefburgers on sale in Tesco, Iceland, Aldi and Lidl. The Tesco
beefburgers, tested as 29% horse, were supplied by ABP
Silvercrest in County Monaghan. The other factories implicated at
low or trace levels are a second ABP factory, Dalepak in Yorkshire,
and Liffey Meats in County Cavan.
2. 15 January
ABP, one of the largest beef processors in Europe, owned by Larry
Goodman, emerges as being at the centre of the horsemeat
scandal. Its Silvercrest subsidiary in Monaghan, near the border
between Northern Ireland and the republic, supplied the 29% horse
burger to Tesco. Its Dalepak plant in Yorkshire, named initially for
trace contamination of Iceland burgers, is subsequently named as
the source of frozen beef mince in Asda that tested as 29% positive
for horse. ABP points the finger at continental suppliers, including
imports from Poland. Goodman's Scottish factory is later found to
have supplied beef meatballs to Waitrose that were found to be up
to 30% undeclared pork. And his ABP factory in Nenagh, Tipperary,
supplied another processor, Greencore, with meat for Asda fresh
bolognese that Asda tests found was 5% horse. ABP has blamed
rogue managers at Silvercrest for straying out of customers'
specification. It says it has never knowingly sold horse and is an
innocent victim of fraud.

Apprenez à construire des groupes verbaux
Ne vous occupez pas de traduction :
Vous êtes en train de comprendre et d'acquérir la technique de
fonctionnement du groupe verbal ANGLAIS. Elle est très différente de celle
du français. Tout rapprochement avec le français (grammaire française ou
traduction) sera forcément un frein à votre compréhension.
Un verbe va vous être proposé.
Il sera accompagné d'1 ou plusieurs éléments du groupe verbal.
Votre tâche consistera à construire ce groupe verbal.
1° Vous écrirez toujours comme sujet "HE"
2° Vous écrirez ensuite le groupe verbal en utilisant le verbe et les
éléments.
