Au départ de la charmante ville de Wissembourg, cette ligne saisonnière permet de découvrir deux sites majeurs près de Lembach :
le fort du Four à Chaux, l’un des plus importants ouvrages de la ligne Maginot, 4 km de réseau souterrain et 6 blocs de combat ;
l’imposant château fort semi-troglodytique de Fleckenstein 12e -17e s. équipé d’un parcours de découverte, le « Château des Défis », et
d’un espace ludique, le « P’tit Fleck ».
Die Linie startet im charmanten Wissembourg und führt zu zwei wichtigen
Sehenswürdigkeiten (nahe Lembach): zur Festung Four à Chaux, einem mächtigen
Bauwerk der Maginot-Linie mit einem 4 km langen, unterirdischen Gangsystem, und
zur imposanten Burg Fleckenstein. Die beeindruckende Burgruine stammt aus dem
12. - 17. Jahrhundert und bietet einen Spieleparcours „Fleckenstein, die Rätselburg“
und den P’tit Fleck, Spielplatz aus Sandstein und Wald.
This seasonal line starts in the charming town of Wissembourg and takes you on a
discovery tour to two sites near Lembach: to the Four à Chaux fortress, one of the
largest constructions along the Maginot Line with 4 km of underground passages and
6 combat blocks, and to the impressive Fleckenstein Castle, half-carved into the rocks
in the 12th to 17h century, with its fun trail called «the Puzzle Castle» and an area called
«P’tit Fleck», a playground of sandstone and forest.

Reflet du passé de la ville de Wissembourg et de sa région, le musée est installé dans un magnifique bâtiment Renaissance au coeur de la
cité. Section archéologique (stèles romaines, sculptures du Moyen Âge, etc.). Vie quotidienne et imagerie populaire (mobilier et costumes
en usage dans la région du XVIIIe au début du XIXe s.), etc.
Attention : fermé pour travaux jusqu’en 2013.
Als Spiegel der Geschichte der Stadt Wissembourg und ihrer Umgebung ist das Museum in einem prachtvollen Renaissancegebäude im Herzen der Stadt untergebracht.
Archäologische Abteilung (römische Grabsteine, mittelalterliche Skulpturen, usw.). Abteilung zum alltäglichen Leben und zur volkstümlichen Bildkunst (Mobiliar, Kostüme,
die im 18. und zu Beginn des 19. Jh. in dieser Gegend üblich waren), usw. Achtung: bis 2013 geschlossen.
The museum is in a magnificent Renaissance building in the historic center of Wissembourg. Its collections mirror the history of the town and its region. Archeological
section (Roman tombstones, sculptures of the Middle-Ages, etc…). Daily life and popular imagery (furniture, costumes in use in the region in the 18th and beginning of the
19th c.) etc Attention: closed until 2013.

Cette colline haute de 243 m domine l’ancien champ de bataille du 4 août 1870. Le Geisberg commandait la place-forte de Wissembourg.
En 1961, un monument a été érigé : il commémore les batailles de la guerre de succession d’Autriche, la libération du sol national par la
Révolution Française et la défaite du 4 août 1870. Un panorama unique sur Wissembourg et le vignoble du Palatinat complète l’intérêt du
site.
Der 243 m hohe Hügel überragt den ehemaligen Schauplatz der Schlacht vom 4. August 1870. Der Geisberg kommandierte in der damaligen Zeit über die befestigte Stadt
Wissembourg. Im Jahre 1961 wurde hier ein Denkmal errichtet: ein Zeugnis der Schlachten um die Thronfolge Österreichs, der Befreiung der Region durch die Französische
Revolution und der Niederlage vom 4. August 1870. Der Geisberg bietet einen einzigartigen Panoramablick über Wissembourg und das pfälzische Weingebiet.
This hillock, 243 m high, overlooks the field of the battle of August 4th, 1870. The Geisberg commanded the fortified town of Wissembourg. A monument was erected in
1961 to commemorate the battles of the Austrian Succession war, the liberation of French soil during the French Revolution and the defeat of August 4th, 1870. Beautiful
panorama overlooking Wissembourg and the vineyards of the Palatinate.
