Dames de Ste-Famille - Retraite paroissiale
Le mardi 19 mars de 9h à 15h30, Abbé Gilles LeBlanc sera le
conférencier de la retraite ayant comme sujet: La Foi.
Tous et toutes sont invités à participer. La messe sera célébrée
à 11h suivie d’un dîner potluck. Venez en grand nombre.
Feed the Hungry
Pour le dimanche 14 avril, les bénévoles sont recherchés
pour préparer le repas de 9h30 à 12h30, pour le servir de 14h45 à
18h et pour nettoyer par la suite.

Lâcher prise ~ Vivre, croître, mourir pour aller vers une autre vie, c'est un chemin, c'est une
extraordinaire aventure avec ses ombres et ses lumières. C'est qu'on a accepté la réalité de sa propre
petitesse dans l'immensité du plan divin, alors vivre peut devenir une école de lâcher prise permettant
d'atteindre un état de plus grande liberté, permettant d'être toujours moins encombré par les bagages
divers qui ralentissent la croissance. Lâcher prise, c'est renoncer à tout contrôler, à vouloir le bien de
l'autre, c'est renoncer à prouver quoi que ce soit, c'est accepter que l'autre est l'autre et que moi-même,
je suis qui je suis et non pas qui j'avais rêvé d'être. Lâcher prise, c'est faire confiance, c'est signer un
chèque en blanc sur l'avenir, sur cette vie et sur ce qui lui fait suite. Lâcher prise, c'est
cesser de faire le procès de la vie qui ne nous donne pas ce que nous en attendons. En
fait, lâcher prise, c'est commencer à être vraiment heureux, car le bonheur, c'est
comme un sillage, il suit fidèlement celui qui ne le poursuit pas. Si l'on s'arrête pour le
contempler, pour le saisir, il s'évanouit aussitôt. A partir du moment où l'on peut lâcher
prise, où l'on ne désire plus être heureux à tous prix, on découvre que le bonheur, c'est
l'acceptation de notre condition d'être humain, c'est cette capacité de garder les mains
ouvertes plutôt qu'agrippées sur ce que nous croyons nous être indispensable.

Liturgy Office
Chrism Mass 2013 will take place on Monday March 25 at 7:30 pm, at St. Mary's Cathedral, Calgary.
Doors open at 6:30pm. During this Mass, the Bishop blesses the oil of catechumens and the oil of the sick. He
also prepares and consecrates the oil of chrism that is used in the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and
holy orders. As the Bishop is the only minister who can consecrate the oil of chrism, this liturgy ritualises his
presence through the chrism that will be used for baptisms by priests and deacons throughout the diocese all
year.

FaithLife: Stewardship Forum on Faith - “The 4 Last Things – Judgement, Hell, Purgatory and

Health Care Apostolate
St. Francis de Sales Parish in High River will be hosting the High River Hospital – Spiritual Care Services Pastoral
Care Training Program on Saturday April 6, 13, 20 with a specifically Catholic Pastoral Care Ministry Session on

Social Justice Ministry
Save the Date: 30th Annual Outdoor Way of the Cross will take place on Good Friday, March 29,
2013. This solemn and meditative procession will start and end at St. Mary's Cathedral (219-18th Ave.
S.W, Calgary). Start time is 9:30am and completion time is 12:30pm. Everyone is invited!
Everyone is invited to attend the 2013 Development and Peace Benefit Gala! We are excited to announce
that Bishop Frederick Henry will be our keynote speaker this year. The event will take place on April 13,
2013 at Our Lady of Grace Parish starting at 6pm. It will be a full catered dinner with cultural

Life and Family Resource Centre (LFRC)
The Calgary Diocesan Marriage Preparation program “For Better and For Ever”, accepts all couples
preparing for marriage. Smaller group settings allow us to focus on couples in one or more of the following
circumstances: living together, previously married, beginning marriage with children, couples 45+, or those

Saint Anne’s Mothers’ Group from St. Bonaventure parish invites ladies of the diocese to join them on their
charter bus to the Women of Dignity Conference (www.catholicfamilyministries.com). The one-day
conference, held in Edmonton on April 13, 2013 will reflect on the feminine genius, women saints, and
cultural, personal, and spiritual renewal. The bus will cost $30 per woman for a round trip. Please contact
