WASHINGTON ( FBI)+ ( VIDÉO) - Un diplomate soupçonné d'avoir tué sa femme, sa mère , et
ses trois fils en 1976, il y a près de 40 ans dans le Maryland, a été ajouté, le jeudi 10/04/2014,
à la liste du FBI des «Dix fugitifs les plus recherchés» , apportant une nouvelle attention sur
un cas qui a longtemps frustré les autorités. Une récompense de 100.000 dollars est offerte à
toute personne pouvant contribuer à l'arrestation de William Bradford Bishop, un
septuagénaire d'une intelligence supérieure qui pourrait bien vivre aujourd'hui caché à l'insu
de tous.
William Bradford Bishop, Jr., wanted for the brutal murders of his wife, mother, and three
sons in Maryland nearly four decades ago, has been named to the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives
list.
A reward of up to $100,000 is being offered for information leading directly to the arrest of
Bishop, a highly intelligent former U.S. Department of State employee who investigators
believe may be hiding in plain sight.
William Bradford "Brad" Bishop Jr., un employé du département d'Etat à l'époque, aurait matraqué sa
famille à mort dans leur maison de la banlieue du Maryland de Washington, et l' a ensuite conduite

en italien, il parle couramment cinq langues.
Les gens sur la liste des plus recherchés du FBI ont inclus Oussama Ben Laden, Boston crime
organisé patron James "Whitey" Bulger et James Earl Ray, qui a assassiné Martin Luther King Jr. La
liste a été fondée en 1950, et plus de 90 pour cent des 501 personnes inscrites sur la liste ont été
trouvées.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A diplomat suspected of killing his wife, mother and three sons in 1976 was
added to the FBI's list of "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" on Thursday, bringing new attention to a case
that has long frustrated authorities.
William Bradford "Brad" Bishop Jr., a State Department employee at the time, allegedly bludgeoned
his family to death in their home in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, and then drove to a wooded
area in North Carolina, where authorities say he dumped their bodies in a shallow grave and burned
them.
The victims' bodies weren't identified until a week later, giving Bishop ample time to plot a getaway.
Investigators have said it's possible that Bishop, who would now be 77 years old, fled to Europe and
is living there under a false name. A Yale graduate who later earned a master's degree in Italian, he
is fluent in five languages.
There hasn't been a confirmed sighting of Bishop since 1976, in Jacksonville, N.C., although three
people who knew him have reported spotting him in Europe over the years, most recently in 1994.
"Brad, you've been living with this on your conscience now for 38 years," Montgomery County, Md.,
Sheriff Darren Popkin said. "I am the voice of your family who can no longer speak. The time is now
to contact law enforcement."
People on the FBI's most wanted list have included Osama Bin Laden, Boston organized crime boss
James "Whitey" Bulger and James Earl Ray, who assassinated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The list
was founded in 1950, and more than 90 percent of the 501 people placed on the list have been
found.
