Preface
The papers included in this proceedings to be presented during the 10 workshops and
the doctoral consortium to be held at the 18th Conference on Advanced Information
Systems Engineering held in Luxembourg, 5–9 June, 2006. Altogether, the workshops
and doctoral consortium have collected the work of 268 authors of 122 accepted long,
short papers or position papers on the general theme of the conference: Trusted
Information Systems.
The workshops will offer the possibility to learn and discuss a wide range of topics
ranging from philosophical foundations of Information Systems (IS), Business-IT
alignment and Business processes, to web services, ontologies and validation and
verification of IS.
All CAiSE’06 workshop papers are included in these proceedings. Many of the
proceedings of the workshops will additionally be published electronically through
the CEUR Workshop Proceedings website, a publication service of Sun SITE Central
Europe operated under the umbrella of RWTH Aachen University with the support of
Tilburg University. You will find the various proceedings available by browsing on
www.CEUR-WS.org.
