THE WINE
40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 60% Merlot
This wine gives a gorgeous richness. Bottled
without oak to allow the fruit to take centre
stage, it’s ideal with roast lamb with herb
crust, pork casserole, garlic basted chicken
or a mushroom croustade.
L’HISTOIRE
Château Haut -Robert est situé à Pellegrue,
environ 65 kilomètres à l’est de Bordeaux
sur les côteaux de L’Entre Deux Mers. Le
propriétaire actuel, Sylvain Chabot est
la 4ième génération de cette famille de
vigneron à s’occuper des 40 hectares de
vigne qui composent ce Château.
Plantées sud/ sud-ouest, les vignes profitent
d’un maximum de soleil résultant ainsi en
des vins fruités et riches.
Tertre de Fontenot est le lieudit sur lequel se
situe la parcelle.

LE VIN

Ce vin est fruité et riche. Simple mais bien
structuré et gourmand. Il accompagnera
à merveille un gigot d’agneau, du porc en
sauce ou encore une volaille rôtie.

THE STORY
Château Haut Robert is in Pellegrue,
about 65 kilometres east of Bordeaux, in
the highest part of the Entre Deux Mers.
The owner, Sylvain Chabot, is the fourth
generation of her family to run the estate,
which comprises 40 hectares of south and
southwest facing vineyards, the grapes of
which gain terrific ripeness. The Merlot and
Cabernet for this medal winning cuvée come
from a small hill, Tertre de Fontenot. Its
steep slopes provide the optimum drainage
and exposure to the sun, even more so than
the rest of the estate.
