Sur la nouvelle page Internet, vous trouverez de plus des informations relatives au Swiss
IFA Award 2013. Ce prix créé par l'IFA Suisse a pour but d'encourager les travaux
académiques d'auteurs suisses dans le domaine du droit fiscal international. Les publications
remarquées deviendront par ce biais des thèmes pour les futurs Congrès de l'IFA. La version
anglaise de l'invitation à soumettre des travaux est annexée au présent courrier.
Nous vous informons de plus que le Congrès 2015 de l'IFA aura finalement lieu à Bâle
(30 aoút — 3 septembre 2015). Après un travail intensif de préparation mené avec toutes les
parties concernées, il est ressorti que le nouveau Centre des Congrès à Bâle remplirait au
mieux les conditions infrastructurelles. Vous trouverez de plus amples informations à
l'adresse www.ifabase12015.com.
Le comité de l'IFA Suisse se réjouit de tenir à nouveau, après 1996, le Congrès IFA en
Suisse et est convaincu de pouvoir proposer aux participants du Congrès à Bâle une
plateforme idéale pour un Congrès de haut niveau technique et présentant une grande
diversité culturelle.

Auf der neuen Website werden Sie zudem Informationen zum Swiss IFA Award 2013
finden. Dieser von der IFA Schweiz ins Leben gerufene Preis hat zum Ziel, die akademische
Arbeit Schweizer Autoren im internationalen Steuerrecht zu fördern. Dabei sollen
herausragende Publikationen zu Themen künftiger IFA Kongresse ausgezeichnet werden.
Die Ausschreibung in englischer Sprache liegt bei.
Weiter informieren wir Sie darüber, dass der IFA Kongress 2015 neu in Basel stattfinden
wird (30. August — 3. September 2015). Nach intensiven Gesprächen mit den involvierten
Personen hat sich in der Detailplanung gezeigt, dass im neuen Kongresszentrum Basel die
Anforderungen an die Infrastruktur am besten erfüllt werden können. Weitere Informationen

Der Vorstand der IFA Schweiz freut sich, nach 1996 den IFA Kongress wieder in der
Schweiz durchzuführen und ist überzeugt, mit Basel den Kongressteilnehmer eine ideale
Plattform für einen fachlich anspruchsvollen und kulturell abwechslungsreichen Kongress
bieten zu können.

Swiss IFA Award
In order to encourage publications of Swiss tax professionals in international fiscal law, the IFA Swiss
Board has instituted an Annual Prize in the amount of CHF 10'000 for an academic paper dealing
with one of the subjects of the next IFA Congress. It is further intended that the award-winning paper
will be published in an international magazine close to the Congress.
The Swiss IFA Award 2013 will be awarded for a paper devoted to one of the following subjects of
the forthcoming Congress in Copenhagen:
Main Subjects

The taxation of passive income for groups of companies
-
Exchange of information and the cross-border cooperation between tax authorities
Seminar Subjects
-
Climate change —tax issues
-
International hiring out of labour
-
Profit methods and arm's length standard
-
Subnational taxes and international taxation
-
Overhead and VAT deductibility
-
Cross-border loss utilization
The following rules apply to the competition:
-
The paper must be written in English.
-
It should include a maximum of 50'000 characters including blanks and footnotes.
The paper must not consist of a national report and must not need to fully cover one of the
aforementioned subjects, but may be restricted to an interesting or a disputed aspect
-
thereof.
-
It must include both the Swiss and international views on the chosen topic.
The Jury only accepts papers that fulfill the standards for scientific writing.
The paper's subject should be registered by 31 October 2012 with Professor Madeleine Simonek,
Universität Zürich, Rechtswissenschaftliches Institut, Rämistrasse 74/20, 8001 Zürich,
madelein:[email protected]. The paper must be submitted by 28 February 2013. It will be
evaluated by a Jury that will consist of academics appointed by the Board of the IFA Swiss Branch.
The award and the paper will be presented at the General Meeting of the IFA Swiss Branch on
13 June 2013.
