STRINGS ARGUMENTS, c’est trois membres du groupe Six North (guitare, basse, batterie), le violoniste
de KBB, et le guitariste Hirofumi Okamoto. Cet album a été enregistré « live » en 2002 à Kyoto.
Ces cinq virtuoses nous offrent une musique instrumentale exceptionnelle à plus d’un titre ; c’est une sorte de
jazz progressif, qui combine improvisations et structures musicales « écrites ». En écoutant Strings Arguments,
vous penserez sans doute à Al Di Meola, Weather Report, Pat Metheny, ou Jean-Luc Ponty, parmi d’autres… Le
lyrisme du violon s’accorde parfaitement avec les humeurs des deux guitares, et tout cela est porté à bout de
bras par une rythmique incroyable, pleine de précision et de groove. Alternant les séquences expérimentales et
les moments mélodieux, riches en émotion, STRINGS ARGUMENTS crée un monde musical vivant et
dyamique : simplement brillant.

STRINGS ARGUMENTS is three members of the japanese band Six North (guitar, bass, drums), the
violin player of the band KBB, and the guitar player Hirofumi Okamoto. This album "The Encounter" was
recorded live in 2002, in Kyoto.
These five brilliant virtuosos offer us an exceptional instrumental jazz-progressive music, mixing
improvisation and written musical structures. Listening to String Arguments you may think of Weather Report,
Al Di Meola, Pat Metheny, Jean-Luc Ponty, and some others…The violin’s lyricism perfectly fits with both
guitar jazzy moods, and is sustained by an incredible rhythm section, full of groove and precision. Mixing
experimental sequences with melodious and emotional ones, Strings Arguments creates a lively, dynamic
musical world : just brilliant.
