Tasks Accounting & Reporting Responsible for A/P cycle and reconciling items, including reconciling prepaid, preparation and submission of tax claims and bank reconciliation. Reviews subsidy payments for validity and accuracy. Initiates bank electronic transfers for authorization. Responsible for A/R cycle, including invoicing and collection of all receivables in a timely manner. Prepares quarterly project claims for CFO review & approval. Updates and maintain integrity of various internal excel reports, such as: o ICTC Budget database, Project Budget Database & related Payroll allocation matrix o Quarterly project claims (different format for each funder/project) o Monthly project reconciliation in conjunction with project team Ensures proper document filing / retention of all proposals, contracts and accounting reports. Prepares & processes bi-monthly payroll and summary of payroll cost (payroll, group benefits, RRSP) allocated by projects. Understands & assists in communicating and enforcing contractual agreements to meet project needs. Ensures proper documentation of all employee, payroll, group benefits and RRSP benefit records. Supports hiring of new employees (eg: prepares personnel file and orientation binder). Purchase office supplies and assist in office management. As a designate security officer, assist in implementation of privacy and security measures. Advanced knowledge of Sage Accpac (A/R, A/P, G/L) Work related experience: 3 - 4 years in project accounting environment and in private & not for profit environment.
