TA B L E O F C O N T E N T S
Our wine list is organized into sections by varietal, with Old World wines generally listed before their New World
counterparts. Blended wines are listed under their most predominant varietal. We have included a section of Chilean
wines to put a spotlight on the smaller, artisanal producers that are changing the way the world thinks about Chilean
wines. When appropriate, we have listed when a winemaker practices organic or biodynamic practices. Finally, when we
have determined a wine to be atypical or unusual, we have added notes to describe its style.

SELECTIONS FROM OUR SOMMELIER
On this page, you will find some wines that we are particularly excited about pairing with our fall menu. Our sommelier is
available if you wish to discuss these selections, or others within our full wine list.
2013 Friulano/Ribolla Gialla, Le Due Terre, "Sacriassi," Friuli Colli Orientali 100
Le Due Terre’s Sacrisassi Bianco 2013 has a wonderful tension, Friulano is dancing with great acidity,
Ribolla with minerality.Intense, full bodied style produced as a result of long skin contact. The aromas of this
wine are exotic and inviting jasmine tea, guava, honeysuckle, green pear and sage. It feels pin sharp indefinition, really long lasting and complex, and the flavours just keep coming. Organic wine without offical certification.
One of the trully bestproducersfrom Friuli Le Due Terre – “The two soils”, comprises just 5 hectares and a family of three. Silvana, Flavioand their daughter are responsible for everything, including the much lauded Sacrisassi Rosso.
2004 Pinot Noir Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur, "Musigni," Clos-Vougeot Grand Cru166
This is some pretty heady grape juice at a price I should get fired for. The 'musigni' is a small parcel in the
domaine's backyard which abuttes the appellation of chambolle-musigny. with less than a hectare of vineyard
the production is tiny but the concentration and grace is unmistakable. violets, wild grasses, herbs, black cherry
and a bit of anise. if you've ever wondered about the glories of grand cru burgundy but didn't want to fork over
all the cash (we don't blame you) this is a great opportunity.
2009 Prokupac/Cabernet Sauvignon, Budimir Winery, Zupa, "Svb Rosa", Serbia
95
"The 2009 Sub Rosa is a blend of 60% Prokupac (aged for 36 months in 3,000-liter and 5,000-liter Serbian oak casksthat are ten-years-old) and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon (aged for 18 months in 225-liter French oak barrels; 20%
new, the rest four-years-old). This is the second vintage of this wine, sourced from more than 100-year-old vines.
It is only produced in appropriate vintages. It comes in at 13% alcohol. This is an elegant Sub Rosa, with fine fruit,
blueberry cut by ripe strawberry, dried sage, violet and earth. It is bright and lively. It has the ability to improve in
the glass over several hours. Leading with its fruit and silky texture will be great compliment to pork, lamb and
specialy with our duck breast dish. One of the best red wines coming from Serbia for sure. You must try!
spirit
lost treasures of spain
Sherry butts are famous for finishing different spirits, but Jerez holds stock of their own. The "treasure hunters"
below have discovered these rare casks in Jerez cellars and offer them cask-strength in very limited bottlings
Brandy Navazos-Palazzi, Single Fino Cask, Solera Gran Reserva
26 2 oz
3 years in ex-bourbon barrels, 3 ½ years in a Fino cask, its color belies the fruit, spice, and nuts therein
Whiskey Sheep Dip, Amaroso Oloroso, 1999 15 2 oz
3 years in ex-bourbon barrels, 9 years in Oloroso casks - this is a bourbon drinker's Scotch whiskey
Rum Navazos-Palazzi, Oloroso Cask, Solera Gran Reserva28 2 oz
distilled and aged in the Caribbean for 5 years before aging another 10 years in Spanish oloroso casks

is as old school as it gets. He makes wines like his father Etienne did and like many generations of vigneron
before that. These are very traditional sancerre, savoury, nutty and insanely complex. If you're looking for
clean, light and bright then stop here and refer to the wines above. If you desire a thought provoking wine
in the style of days past, then look no further. The vines are between 35 and 50 years old, located in the village of
Sury-en-Vaux in Sancerre. They produce small concentrated bunches of fruit with low yield and high concentration
of flavour. These wines see only old oak barrels and everything is farmed biodynamically, no chemicals, sprays or human
intervention. The vineyard functions as its own eco-system. The two offerings below are single vineyards which are given
Lithuanian names in honor of his wife. They spend two years in old 225L barrels and then a year in bottle.
They'll be served cool and will be decanted. Enjoy the ride!

Riesling is made into styles from bone dry to unctuously rich; from light and fruity to austere with a mineral drive
unparalleled elsewhere. German rieslings are our favorites, where the traditional style is to balance the sugar and
acidity. Austrian rieslings tend to be very dry and rich, whereas Alsatians are a compromise between the Austrian and
German styles. New World Rieslings can be made from dry to sweet, but tend to be fuller bodied and higher in alcohol.

RED WINE
The Barbour of the 'Ville...
The wines of Barboursville are steeped in Jeffersonian tradition. Vines were first planted on the estate in the late 18th
century and are only a stones throw away from Jefferson's Monticello estate. The wines are connected to the old world of
Europe, cloaked in American history. It's not that the wines are made to taste a specific way; no manipulation here.
The various grapes grown are allowed to express their true varietal character through a meandering terroir of gneiss,
schist, granite and clay which flow throughout the Piedmont region of Virginia and join the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Barboursville's winemaker, Luca Paschina is Piemontese by birth, so it makes sense that he has found his home in the
Piedmont region of Virginia. Luca's touch is delicate, old school by nature with meticulous care for the vineyards and a
hands off approach in the winery which helps him achieve varietal typicity and balance. Most of all, the wine reflects
the soul of the man who helps to bring it to life. The truth is in the wine. Salute!

Tom Farella is an OG.
He's been doing it his way, or his father Frank's way since he came out of UC Davis in the early 80's. Tom spent time
at Neyers, Flora Springs and Preston before a quick but intense harvest at Domaine Jacques Prieur in Meursault.
When he returned home he began bottling from his family's vineyards which had and still are sold to Shafer and
Pahlmeyer.
Coombsville, ever heard of it? It's a shallow valley literally off the beaten path, in an area of Napa Valley that lies
east of the city of Napa and cannot be found by traversing Highway 29 or the Silverado Trail. Coombsville was
not granted AVA status until 2011 and it's most well known vintner/farmer, Bill Cadmon of Tulocay, would prefer to
remain unknown. It is a land unchanged by the influence of millionaires and modern wine making facilities.
Farella is a man of restraint, one who's guiding light is the style of Napa Valley wine that put the then
unknown region on the map back in 1976 at the Judgement of Paris. Very little new oak is used on these wines and they
are the stylistic antithesis of the bombastic, oak bombed wines of the 'go-go' 90's and 'member only wine clubs'
throughout the valley. Expect something Bordeaux like but with unmistakable California fruit and of course, balance.

Back to the Future
If I had Doc Brown's time machine I'd take a trip to Napa Valley circa the late 80's and plead with certain winemakers
to stop using so much darn new oak. The beauty of the California vineyards is that whether they are coastal vineyards
or inland valley vineyards, the sun is always shining and that means grapes can always ripen to a healthy place.
But why stop there when the grapes have achieved balance of acidity and sugar when you can get even MORE sugar
by letting the grapes hang in the hot California sun and then smack them around with heavily toasted new oak
barrels all in the hopes of a guy giving your wine a score of 99? $$$$.
The trouble I have with these wines is that they are immediatley released, purchased, consumed and judged to
either be great, the greatest ever or heavenly. To me this is like trying to predict the life ahead of a 3 year old child
because they can walk 10 feet without falling. The life of this child or bottle is unpredictable and it's preposterous
to say that that child or bottle will be great or a genius in twenty years based on a minute sampling.
Anyway, I digress. We've got some friends who've got some friends who have some of this predetermined greatness
in a bottle with some actual age on it. Some of these are in the style of the bombastic 'go-go' 90's and some are
more of a classic and restrained Napa Valley style that I long for.
Buy one, drink it, share your opinion and thank you for reading.

We are excited to offer you these old and rare Baroli, many of which are no longer
made. They are wines of great provenance, sourced from the cellars of some of
Piemonte's most renowned restaurants and private collector's. These wines are an
excerise of patience, time and history. They represent the most classic style of barolo
and have more layers than the human psyche ( our op i ni on) .

***Angelo Gaja very much plays by his own rules. While the majority of his production is from Barbaresco and a little
Barolo, he frequently adds small amounts of Barbera to his wines making them Langhe DOC instead of DOCG
