Ambiente 2013
Born out of its creator’s personality, following his tracks,
Lexon and René Adda are lookalikes: just as him, collections
that speak about an irrepressible passion for transformation: moving places and ways
of experiencing everyday life.
La tâche est à la fois modeste et
vertigineuse : elle alimente une
sorte d’enfance permanente de
Lexon et de ses produits depuis
vingt-trois ans. Des objets façonnés par les usages de ceux auxquels ils sont destinés, évoluant
sans cesse et toujours fidèles à
une ligne tracée depuis l’origine :
servir efficacement des fonctions
dans la maison ou le bureau en
renouvelant le plaisir, en alimentant l’excitation. Un dessin, un
matériau, un procédé technique ?
Tout ensemble ou distinctement,
chaque produit Lexon a son histoire. Tous ensembles, ils participent d’une aventure : celle d’un

Lexon’s identity has been
punctuated by creations that
solidly build its history. As
many little miracles that reproduce themselves, year after year. One may sometimes
identify them immediately,
on the other hand, some may
require some time. A selection.
Safe - Lexon studio
Tykho: a very small radio set that
became an immense product. A
multiple bet: a drawing, a material, a medium, a format and a
shape. It is now part of MoMA’s
permanent collections, as well as
Centre Pompidou in Paris. Historical again, it made Time magazine front cover, the only one
cover dedicated to an object. Within fifteen years, Tykho became
a star of international design.
Airline: this luggage line never
took a rest in all these years,
constantly evolving. It maintains
a spotless dedication to the principles that support it from then:
simplicity, elegance, efficiency.
By definition, it travels, thus tend
to preserve with an increased attention an identity made out of
discretion and personality.

Beyond fashions and trends,
through all the trouble met at
transforming other materials
rather than plastics, it favors an

Airline : la ligne de bagages
n’a cessé d’évoluer depuis sa
création. Elle conserve une fidélité sans faille aux principes qui
l’ont générée : simplicité, élégance, efficacité. Par définition,
elle voyage constamment mais
conserve avec une attention
d’autant plus précise une identité impeccable faite de discrétion
et de personnalité associées.
Safe : bambou / céramique : pari
à nouveau. Elle veut se placer au
delà des modes et des complexités du traitement et de la transformation de matériaux autres
que les plastiques. Un engagement en faveur d’une recherche
d’objets qui seraient autant de
signes amicaux. La collection
dépasse le caprice d’une saison :
elle défie déjà le temps.
Flip : Wright : le design est l’histoire infiniment renouvelée
d’équilibres fragiles : ce réveil est
lui-même d’une grande délicatesse malgré l’apparente simplicité de ses lignes et de ses fonctions. Il interrompt le sommeil
- tâche ingrate - et il joue par là
même un rôle capital : il se débrouille pour être un vrai cadeau,
jamais une punition.
TakeTime : l’intelligence de
cette montre est dans la finesse
des réminiscences, la richesse
des évocations, la justesse des
proportions. Séduction de l’ensemble : deux ans d’existence

of contradictory qualities. This
family is noticeable by an overall sobriety, which never totally
expels color of its range though.

Transparency plays, unexpected material qualities, a peculiar
range of evocations: this one family is built around projections of
an enthusiastic future foreseen.

range of playful echoes, using

Simple, light, soft: soft materials
for a friendly product line. A family which aims at a symbolic
role, a role which is by far larger
than the amount of its family
members. It shall get larger every year, initiating an ethical statement of Lexon, due to become
long-lasting.
Discrétion sans ennui, camouflage sans disparition, efficacité
sans froideur. L’exercice d’une réconciliation de qualités : se défier
des contradictions. Cette gamme
est marquée par une sobriété
dominante d’où la couleur n’est
jamais bannie. Elle privilégie la
simplicité de son lexique mais
envisage la variété des matériaux.

To the discipline showed by the
products answer a large spectrum
of colors. To a simplicity patiently looked for echo an incredibly
large color palette and a seductive soft touch material. Mat,
glossy, pastel or pure: colors underline the lines qualities. They
stimulate a desire for a chromatic punctuation of our everyday
environment, be it home or office.
A la rigueur des lignes des produits répond la variété des
teintes. A une simplicité patiemment recherchée du dessin des
