’est en 1978 que Monsieur Hugues Chevalier crée les premiers modèles de la collection qui porte son
nom dans la grande tradition des décorateurs-ensembliers des années 30. Il remet au goût du jour une
esthétique qui fait la renommée internationale des arts décoratifs français du XXème siècle. Ses créations,
interprétations contemporaines d’un travail sur la mémoire d’une époque proche de talents et d’inventivité,
connaissent immédiatement un franc succès. L’originalité du mobilier, l’exigence de qualité et le sens du détail sont
unanimement reconnus par les professionnels et un public d’initiés à la recherche d’un univers à la fois statutaire et
intemporel. Depuis 2013, Hugues Chevalier est intégré au groupe BC Bertrand, créé en 1965 par Monsieur Hubert
Taïeb. La fabrication des créations est confiée au savoir-faire des compagnons ébénistes, tapissiers et vernisseurs
des ateliers du groupe, reconnus pour la qualité de leur savoir-faire. Toute commande est ici produite à l’unité,
artisanalement, avec un soin méticuleux de la qualité et dans le respect de la tradition du mobilier de haute facture.
Fruit de l’expérience et de la passion, chaque meuble Hugues Chevalier est une pièce unique, reflet d’une culture
et d’un savoir vivre d’exception. Le groupe BC Bertrand, s’applique à donner un nouveau souffle aux modèles

In 1978 Hugues Chevalier created his signature collection inspired by the grand tradition of the 1930 designers. Hugues Chevalier
revisited the aesthetics of the internationally renowned French decorative arts of the 20th Century; his creations and contemporary interpretation of the era were an immediate success. The originality of the models, the high quality and the eye for detail
were unanimously recognized by professionals and the public, both avid for a timeless yet statutory collection. In 2013 Hugues
Chevalier joined the group BC Bertrand created in 1965 by Hubert Taieb. All the creations are manufactured by the artisans –
cabinet makers, glazers upholsterers - of the group whose work witnesses the high quality and skill of the profession in the
great tradition of luxury furniture. Based on this extensive experience and passion, each Hugues Chevalier creation is unique
in its conception and production reflecting our expertise and culture. The BC Bertrand group intends to elaborate the Hugues
Chevalier collection. Rugs and lighting will become an integral part of the new collection. To meet the demands of our clientele,
we will equally be focusing on bespoke models. It is with these attributes that Hugues Chevalier has gained the confidence of
private and professional clients to decorate residences, prestigious Hotels and Embassies and exclusive company headquarters.
