FRENCH CARAVAN SITES OFFERING STORAGE FACILITIES
Inclusion in the following list does not signify that these sites have been either vetted or approved
by The Caravan Club. Some but not all will offer bed and breakfast facilities, meals, advance siting,
etc. Members will need to contact them direct regarding availability, facilities, charges, etc.
The main item to remember is insurance against damage, fire, theft, etc. Kay Drewe Insurance of 14
Load Street, Bewdley, Worcestershire, DY12 2AE (telephone 01299 401663) can help you with this.
The Club’s 5Cs insurance will not cover vans stored overseas.
Please note that you would have difficulty trying to sell the caravan in France as, without registering
it under the terms of the French Construction & Use Regulations and thereby qualifying it for its
own registration document as required for French caravans, it would be illegal on French roads if
towed behind a French car. Even if you wished to dispose of the caravan in France, a registration
document would be required. There is also the question of invalidity of the manufacturer’s warranty
for caravans less than three years old if the supplying dealer does not carry our annual servicing.
