Loading the driver
The driver for this USB device will not be installed automatically when you first plug it in.
To install the driver, follow the instructions below.
Note: you must be logged in to your PC as an administrator to install this driver.

Connect the cash drawer to the USB Module via the RJ12 connector
Connect the POS system to the USB Module via the USB connector
Once connected, the computer will show ‘New Hardware has been found’
Followed by a ‘Found New Hardware Wizard’ screen.

Follow the ‘new hardware wizard’ screens
I. Choose Install from a specific location
II. Select search for the driver in these locations and browse for the USB driver’s folder. This will be
either on the CD (if supplied) or can be downloaded from our web site.

Driver Installation is now complete and your computer will have assigned a ‘COM’ port address e.g. USB
Serial Port (COM3).
The ‘COM’ port address is required for software operation. The comport address given for each device can be
found in your computers ‘Device Manager’
Opening the Cash Drawer
Before you can use the CB_USB Cash Drawer Utility ensure the Modules drivers have been installed (see
Loading the driver sheet 1)
Once the drivers have been installed the CB USB Cash Drawer Utility can be used to open the cash drawer.
To open the cash drawer
• Double click on the CB_USB.exe file that have been downloaded form our website
(www.cashbases.co.uk/downloads) or from the CD if supplied.
A self-explanatory Cash Bases USB Interface screen will show
If drawer is open when the Drawer Status is closed contact Cash Bases.
If you receive a message like this, the default comport requires editing in the CB_USB.INI file. Your systems
COM PORT number is found in your computers ‘Device Manager’
To Edit,
Open the file CB_USB.INI in notepad
Edit ‘Comport=3’ on line 2 to the port where the module is connected
E.g. Comport=’n’ where ‘n‘ is the port address for the device that can be found in your computers ‘Device
Manager’
Return to the CB_USB.exe & double-click to operate the Cash Drawer Utility

Guide d’installation RAPIDE du module USB

Chargement du pilote
Lorsque vous branchez le nouveau périphérique USB, sachez que l’installation du pilote ne se fait pas
automatiquement.
Merci de bien vouloir lire les instructions suivantes :
Pour installer ce pilote, vous devez être connecté à votre PC en tant qu’administrateur.

Branchez le tiroir-caisse au module USB via le connecteur RJ12
Pour connecter le système TPV ou le PC au module, utiliser le câble USB A- USB B
Une fois connecté, l’ordinateur affiche un message « Un nouveau matériel a été trouvé », suivi d’ « un nouveau
matériel a été détecté ».

Suivez les écrans des «Assistant de nouveau matériel»
I. Choisissez Installer à partir d'un endroit précis
II. Sélectionnez Rechercher le pilote dans ces emplacements et recherchez le dossier du pilote USB. Ce
sera soit sur le CD (si fournis) ou via notre site web : www.cashbases.co.uk/downloads/
L’installation du pilote est maintenant terminée et votre ordinateur a assigné un port «COM», par exemple
l'adresse de l’USB Serial Port (COM3).
L'adresse port 'COM' est requis pour le fonctionnement du logiciel. Vous pouvez trouver l’adresse de cet
appareil dans le « Gestionnaire du périphérique »
Ouverture du tiroir-caisse
Avant toutes utilisations de l’utilitaire tiroir caisse CB_USB, s’assurer que les pilotes des modules ont été
installés (voir la feuille d’installation du logiciel)
Une fois que les pilotes ont été installés, l’utilitaire tiroir caisse CB-USB peut être alors utilisé pour ouvrir le
tiroir caisse.
Pour ouvrir le tiroir-caisse
Cliquez deux fois sur le fichier CB_USB.exe, qui a été téléchargé via notre site Web (www.cashbases.co.uk /
downloads) ou à partir du CD fourni.
Un écran auto explicatif « Interface USB Cash Bases » apparaitra sur l’écran.
« Si le tiroir est ouvert alors que le statut tiroir est fermé, contactez Cash Bases »
Si vous recevez un message comme celui-ci, cela démontre un défaut de paramétrage au niveau de l’interface.
Le PORT COM en défaut a besoin d’être modifié dans le dossier CB-USB INI.
Le bon numéro de Port COM de votre système se trouvera dans le gestionnaire de périphériques de votre
ordinateur.
Pour modifier, ouvrir le fichier CB_USB.INI dans le notepad.
Modifier 'Comport = 3' sur la ligne 2 vers le port où le module est connecté
Par exemple Comport = 'n' où 'n' est l'emplacement du port de l'appareil qui peut être trouvé dans
le"Gestionnaire de périphériques" de votre ordinateur.
Retournez à l'CB_USB.exe et double-cliquez pour faire fonctionner l’utilitaire tiroir-caisse

Treiber laden
Der Treiber für den USB-Adapter wird beim erstmaligen Anschließen nicht automatisch installiert.
Um den Treiber zu installieren, folgen Sie bitte diesen Anweisungen:
Merke: Zur Treiberinstallation müssen Sie Administrator am PC angemeldet sein.

Verbinden Sie die Geldlade mittels RJ12 Modul mit der USB Box.
Verbinden Sie das POS-System mittels USB A - USB B Kabel mit der USB-Box
Ist die Verbindung hergestellt, meldet der PC "Neue Hardware gefunden" und zeigt danach das "Neue
Hardware gefunden Wizard" Fenster.
1. Folgen Sie den "Neue Hardware Wizard" Anweisungen
i. Wählen Sie Installieren und bestimmen Sie die Quelle.
ii. Wählen Sie „Treiber hier suchen“ und wählen Sie das USB-Treiber-Verzeichnis. Dieses steht auf
unserer Webseite (www.cashbases.co.uk/downloads/) oder auf der optionalen CD zum Download
bereit.
Die Treiberinstallation ist nun abgeschlossen und Ihr PC hat eine COM PORT Adresse, z.B. USB serieller Port
(COM3).
Die COM PORT Adresse wird für die Software-Anwendung benötigt. Die COM PORT Adresse für das
jeweilige Geräte finden Sie im "Geräte-Manager" Ihres PC.
Geldlade öffnen
Vor der Verwendung des CB_USB-Geldladen Dienstprogramms, stellen Sie sicher, dass der Treiber des
Moduls bereits installiert ist (siehe “Treiber laden”).
Sind die Treiber installiert, kann das CB_USB Dienstprogramm zur Geldladenöffnung genutzt warden.
Geldlade öffnen:
Doppelklicken Sie auf CB_USB.exe Datei (optional auf CD oder als download von unserer Webseite).
Ein selbsterklärendes Cash Bases USB-Schnittstellen-Fenster erscheint.
(Sollte die Geldlade geöffnet sein, obwohl der Status geschlossen anzeigt, kontaktieren Sie bitte Cash Bases)
Sollte solch eine Nachricht angezeigt warden, muss der voreingestellte COM PORT in der CB_USB.INI-Datei
geändert warden. Die COM PORT Nummer Ihres Systems finden Sie im Gerätemanager.
Zum Ändern öffnen Sie die Datai CB_USB-INI mit dem Text-Editor. Ändern Sie die COM PORT Nummer in
Zeile 2 (z.B. “Comport=3”) und tragen Sie hier jene Adresse ein, die im Geräte-Manager Ihre PC steht.
Gehen Sie dann zurück zur CB_USB.exe Datai und doppelklicken Sie diese, um das GeldladenDienstprogramm auszuführen.

Cargar el controlador o driver
El controlador de este dispositivo USB no se instalará automáticamente al conectarlo la primera vez
Para instalar el controlador, siga las siguientes instrucciones.
Nota: debe estar conectado a su PC como administrador para instalar este controlador.

Una vez conectado, el ordenador mostrará el mensaje 'nuevo hardware encontrado "
A continuación aparecerá en pantalla "Asistente de nuevo hardware encontrado" .
3. Siga las pantallas del "asistente de nuevo hardware"
I. Seleccione Instalar desde una ubicación específica
II. Seleccione Buscar el controlador en estas ubicaciones y buscar la carpeta del controlador USB.
Esto será en el CD (si se incluye) o se puede descargar desde nuestro sitio web.

La instalación del controlador ha finalizado y el equipo tendrá asignado un puerto "COM" por ejemplo, la
dirección del puerto Serie USB (COM3).
