This program is available to Canadian students and parents of the Surrey School District on a voluntary basis. We would like to ensure that parents are informed of the many benefits of this program and we need your assistance in getting the word out. Risk Management, with the assistance of LRS, will distribute the Student Accident information to schools. The information package is available in hard copy and electronically. Below is a timeline of key dates and what to expect to ensure the program rolls out without a hitch. Timeline Mid-April, we will be contacting each school, asking for the projected numbers of forms they wish to receive. These forms should be sent home to parents late August or early September. We are aware some schools communicate with parents electronically, however we recommend having a supply of packages at the office for those parents without access to a computer. Mid-May we will send you a paragraph introducing the Student Accident Insurance and letting parents know to watch for more information in the fall. This Paragraph can be inserted into your end of year newsletter and posted on your website. Early August we will be sending you a one page document about Accident Insurance, a benefit summary and a premium page. These documents can be inserted into your home mailing and/or posted on your school’s website. We will include a shorter version suitable for inclusion in your newsletter. Mid-August we will be providing the Electronic version of the form to be sent out to parents the end of August/first week of September. It will be sent to all schools mailbox and include the attachments and links to the Student Accident website. The hard copy forms will be delivered to the school office. We appreciate your participation in distributing Kids Plus Student Accident Insurance information. With your help we can offer our parents the opportunity to provide their family with insurance coverage in the event of an accident.
