Historique
The Original E30 M3 is nothing other than a motoring legend, one of the most iconic poster cars of the 1980s alongside the Countach and Testarossa and now firmly a
true modern classic collectible car and on the top 10 list of virtually every car critic and collector as a must have.
In recent years the values and desirability of these cars has risen dramatically, although due to their status as the original affordable super car finding pristine and frankly
un thrashed examples are few and far between and the market is littered with poorly maintained, no history, painted a thousand times and generally abused examples (but
still running strong due to their build quality).
During this time the Cabrio was overlooked by the collector market, as it wasn't seen as a true drivers car with its roof off - the M3 probably invented the marketing phrase
for BMW as "the ultimate driving machine".
When you consider 16202 Cars where produced in total in the various models it's easy to understand now why the Cabrio is fast rising in the collector markets as only 786
Cabrio's where made or less than 5% of the total production making this amongst the rarest of all M3 models.
We believe the car we present today is not only one of the best on the market in terms of its overall original and unchanged or modified condition but also its extensive and
documented history. This car was the personal car of English Motorsport legend; BMW legend and general all round anything to do with the car business legend Mr Frank
Sytner when he moved to Monaco. Frank chose this car as he knew the Cote D'Azur well and decided this was the best car to take advantage of some of the most
spectacular driving roads in Europe whilst not looking out of place in Casino Square - we believe he was a very good judge!
Mr Sytner sold the car to a close friend and Monaco resident where the car then split its time between the principality and the Cotswolds in the UK , spending its winters in
in the warmer climes of Monaco.
This car comes with its original and complete service history, maintained by BMW main agents and notable marque specialist from new - invoices, UK MOTs, and a
general pile of documentation the like of which we doubt any other m3 Cabrio has. In additional to this a personal note from Mr Sytner himself confirming the cars overall
good condition when we purchased the car from his friend in 2015. The Most recent service was carried out by UK BMW main agent and we have full engine tests and
read outs to confirm the exceptional engine condition of this car also. In addition to this the car was inspected by a leading UK motor engineer with a full and detailed
report and all its original keys, wallet, handbooks and key rings are with the car.
This is another car we really ( I mean really) don't want to sell and quite frankly brings us as much daily pleasure to look at and drive as any of our multi million-euro super
and classic cars.
This will not be the cheapest M3 Cabrio on the market today and we believe should be the most expensive - we do also believe this is another blue chip investment grade
vehicle and a true modern classic
