Condor`s long-haul flights for summer 2014 now open for booking
Press release
Condor’s long-haul flights for summer 2014 now open for booking:
Munich to Punta Cana added
Departures from Frankfurt to Cuba and North America
Frankfurt am Main, 4 September 2013 – Condor’s long-haul flights for summer 2014 are now open for
booking. Last winter saw the first long-haul flights from Munich (MUC) after a six-year hiatus, and next
summer Condor’s schedule will include another long-haul destination from the Bavarian capital.
Holiday-makers travelling to the Dominican Republic will be able to fly non-stop to Punta Cana (PUJ).
Jens Boyd, Head of Group Long-Haul, is delighted with this new development: “Condor already flies
from Europe to most holiday destinations in the Caribbean. From next summer, holiday-makers from
Germany will now also be able to fly from Munich to the Caribbean. Munich’s airport has established
itself as an additional long-haul base next to Frankfurt and Vienna.”
The North America programme from Frankfurt (FRA) will include an additional flight to Toronto (YYZ)
in Canada. Between 20 June and the end of October, Condor will fly to the city on Lake Ontario on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. From summer 2014, there will be all-season flights to Las Vegas
(LAS) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from the beginning of April until the end of
November. A further weekly flight is also being added to the popular connections from Frankfurt to
Havana (HAV) in Cuba. Travellers will be able to fly direct from Hesse to the biggest metropolis in the
Caribbean on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The connection to Cape Town (CPT) in South Africa will resume in the summer season of 2014 with
effect from 27 September. There is much demand among Condor’s customers for the South African
metropolis – which comes as no surprise considering it offers the perfect highlights for all tastes. Jens
Boyd can well understand the popularity of this destination. “The Cape region has an appealing
climate, impressive landscapes and an extensive choice of excursions, which makes this destination
perfect for a holiday – and essential in Condor’s schedule.”
Condor flights from Frankfurt and Munich can be booked in travel agencies and
online at
www.condor.com. For example, Condor guests can fly for all-inclusive one-way prices starting from
399,99 Euro in the Economy Class from Munich to Punta Cana and for 399.99 Euro from Frankfurt to
Havana and Las Vegas also in the Economy Class. Flights from Frankfurt to Toronto are available for
a one-way price from 369.99 Euro in the Economy Class. Feeders and Defeeders to Frankfurt and
Munich from many German and European cities can easily be booked at www.condor.com.
Condor Flugdienst GmbH has been flying its guests to the most beautiful holiday destinations in the
world since 1956. On an annual basis, 6.7 million passengers fly with Condor to around 75
destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. Condor is the Germans’ favorite airline: In a
customer satisfaction survey conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) in
December 2012, Condor came out first and was the only airline to be awarded the seal “very good”.
Since March 1, 2013, the German airline Condor has been merged with the airlines Thomas Cook
Airlines UK and Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium to form the Thomas Cook Airline Segment. The fleet
of the Thomas Cook Group comprises 91 modern and environmentally friendly aircraft, of which 38
aircraft are from the Condor fleet: twelve Airbus A320s, one Airbus A321, thirteen Boeing 757-300s
and twelve Boeing 767-300s. The aircraft are maintained by the airlines’ own technical companies.
