euphonium, trombone, timpani, drumset, crash cymbal.
Largely in D-Major, though modified for some instruments, short d-minor
section, 4/4 time measure. speed ¼ =120. One repeat loop back to the begin
and later jump.

more instruments at the end.
In c-minor, 6/4 time, speed: Allegretto 1/4=120, Adagio, 1/4=72 at the end.

Die Schwäne (#223-368)
A poem, sonnet, (LB) set to music with many repeats. D-minor is used
throughout, the time key is 6/4. The end is purely instrumental (#343-368).l
Voices: Vocals: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass.
Instrumental: piano (two tracks), Horn, Euphonium, Timpani, Drumset
Ignoring minor variations and many repetitions,, the poem's text is:
Die Schwäne
Liebst du die Schwäne die im tiefen Abend
Vom Ufer her ins ferne Dunkel ziehn
Die wenn sie sprächen sängen milde klagend
Von langen Tagen die vorűberfliehn
Liebst du die Nächte die durch wirre Träume
Der schweigend Schwäne weisses Kleid durchzűckt
Und dass wenn du durcheiltest alle Räume
Dich liess im Traum noch reisend weit entrűckt
Vielleicht dass jene Nächte sind beschlossen
Im Grau des Abends wenn alsbald verflossen

Deliverance (Erlösung) (#391-581)
Voices: Vocal: Tenor, Bass, Instrumental: very rare drum use. Largely a capella.
No accessories (C-Major, a-minor), speed ¼ =90, ½ time key, formed after a
Georgian Chant.
Text: (ancient Greek, Hebrew, inspired by the Kyrie eleison. B-bass, T-tenor)

Sterben (Dying) (#605-832)
Voices: Vocal: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass,
Instrumental: Piano, Violin, Violoncello, Timpani. Flute for some emphasis of
particular words. Connection is the final 'Nimmerwiedersehn' is made via the
Baritone Horn in the first Stanza. C-Major, speed ¼ =60, most of the time.
Text I: Slowly increasing sound volume, first for Sopranos and Altos, later
Tenors, later Bass, repeating:

Text II: Using a sonnet (LB), slightly modified and words and lines frequently
repeated, transposed from the 'We' form to 'I' compared to poetry page.
With some inserts.
Sterben
Und wenn ich sterbe im Gelächter
dann geh ich fort auf Nimmerwiedersehn.
Umarme wüst den schwarzen Schlächter
und suche noch ein wenig zu verstehn.
Auf dann, im letzten Lachen weinen
als gäb' es Schön'res lebenswert,
mich mit den Toten zu vereinen
zu denen Charon überfährt.
Wahrscheinlich habe ich zu viel gesoffen
der Mund war voller Durst, die Kehle offen
das Herze schwoll empöret an.
Und doch, so blieb für mich ein kurzes Hoffen,
dann fühlte ich mich stark, als rechter Mann,
und spielte als die Zeit verrann.

A poem (LB), set to music with second stanza as chorus (repeated).
e-minor is used throughout, the time key is 4/4. Short instrumentals between
stanzas, where euphonium added.

Instrumental: Horn, Baritone Horn, Euphonium, Timpani

Weiss es fiel und wurde Form (T)
flog setzt sich auf meine Hand
und er blieb ganz leicht gefrohrn
Flügelschlag aus Schneeweitland.
Langes Spiel umgab mich licht (SAB)
kreist und zwitscherte mit mir
ohne irdisches Gewicht
folgt ich dir.
