CV
Thierry P. Augsburger is an experienced trial lawyer. He represents Swiss and foreign
entrepreneurs and companies before international arbitral tribunals, state courts (up to the Swiss
Supreme Court) and administrative authorities. Thierry advises clients and argues cases in English,
French and German alike. He regularly acts in interim relief (including asset freezing) or mutual
legal assistance proceedings and gets our clients foreign judgments or arbitral awards recognised
and enforced in Switzerland. Thierry furthermore assists clients in negotiating and drafting their
contracts or in managing their projects. He has particular experience in working with clients from the
commodities trading, trade finance, transport/shipping, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure,
energy, luxury goods, banking, media and sports sector. In addition to his commercial law practice,
Thierry advises and represents clients in investment protection or other public international law
matters and in white-collar crime proceedings.
Admitted to the Swiss Bar since 2010.
Professional career
Prior to joining our firm Thierry spent several years as an arbitration and litigation lawyer with two
leading international law firms in Geneva and Zurich. Before starting his career in law, Thierry
worked on the trading floor of a private bank (2004-2007) and as a Career Officer with the Swiss
Armed Forces (2001/2002).
