All I Need
Another morning, another day Long gone the waves of yesterday It´s you and me again today Come on, let´s go on our way There ´re many times when I feel ´lone Another small talk on the phone When I believe that it´s the end I´m gonna thinkin´ about my friend And I feel, all I need is to go on All I need is to hold on My love is true, my love is real I wanna try to understand you Please show the way, that I can see How all your motions can reach me And I feel, all I need is to go on All I need is to hold on I like the way I´m riding on Sometimes emotions are too strong Do you hear the waters runnin´ down Don’t be afraid follow their sound And I feel, all I need is to go on All I need is to hold on Another morning, another day Long gone the waves of yesterday It´s you and me again today Come on, let´s go on our way Text und Music: Zelli Zeller Mai/Juni 1990 Freiburg & Kehl EV’RYTHING BUT YOU Music & Lyrics byArti McCloud ©1985 cloudy music inc. Rock´n´Roll! Rock´n´Roll never go away! You are my doctor, you´re my medicine to survive the next day Rock´n´Roll! Oh, Rock´n´Roll please stay! Come on, give me your power, oh - I need you to go on my way Forgetting all the trouble of the time before Blow out the thoughts that bring me down on the floor By the time I thing I need you sweet Rock´n´Roll more and more… Touch my keys, feeling where my heart is bound ´cause I don´t wanna masturbate to get a sterile plastic sound Play these tunes, close myself for something new Well I will never stop to play this black and white chequered blues Forgetting all the trouble… I can hear the great sound of a rocking guitar takes me up ( I ) get crazy, start to scream and I wish that it will never stop Rock´n´Roll! Rock´n´Roll never go away! You are my…. Forgetting all the trouble… I – I ´m sitting on an Island You – you are coming to me With a little peace of freedom in your hand It makes me smile I look up to the sea Then I see the little white clouds Down by the sea I´m lyin´ in the sand Try to dream, ´cause my mind is unwell Thinking ´bout a troubled moment of my life I´m afraid of feeling the pain of next day Then I see the little white clouds All the pain is gone away Why! Why do I want to know? Why I´m here – and which way I should go! People always try to find out the sense of life They are afrais of… There could be nothing! Look up there are the little white clouds Just believe that you will win Just believe that you will win, you will win, you will win! Text und Music: Zelli Zeller Mai/Juni 1988 Naxos (Griechenland) Living on Rock´n´Roll Dieses Lied war Stefans erster Song und gleichzeitig Aufschrei, gegen die zunehmende Technisierung und Automatisierung der Musik und deren Durchdringung mit synthetischen, eben nicht künstlerischen Elementen, sowie gegen Leute, die sich für so etwas begeistern... I get crazy when I see a piano And I love it when it´s music plays Get out of such a horrible disco Hear the right music at the right place I am disgusted with computer music And all these “Pretty People” round it Cause I´m living on Rock´n´Roll all day Come on let me hear your guitars play I live on Rock´n´Roll all day Oh – let the music play All the feelings that I have in my sweet life Want to be expressed in a musical way There is one thing you have to realize: It´s of no use to let the wrong music play I get my satisfaction on Rock´n´Roll Sometimes also on Blues an bad Soul Cause I`m living on…. Living on Rock´n´Roll (4x) Cause I`m living on…. What do you think ´bout Rock´n´Roll music? Is it more than just C, F and G ? Don´t you think that it is easy to choose it To hear Disco or just rock yourself free I am disgusted with computer music And all these “Pretty People” round it Cause I`m living on…. Living on Rock´n´Roll (4x) Text und Music: Zelli Zeller April 1988 in Freiburg Low Cloud Morning Blues Dieser Song wurde im Herbst ´98 begonnen und lag dann unvollendet fast zwei Jahre in der Schublade. Die Inspiration zu dessen Vollendung hatte Stefan, als er in Afrika zu Fuss in der Gegend des Mount Kenia unterwegs war. There was a boy about eight Sittin´down on the street he was crying There was a boy about eight Sittin´down on the street he was crying Hey boy, come to me I wanna hear the story of the past Hey boy, come to me You feel the time running too fast There was a woman in love But all his love seemed to be just a lie Like the dark clouds above She´s keeping something inside but no cry Hey woman, come to me I wanna hear the story of the past Hey woman, come to me You feel the time running too fast Come to me, play your music Come to me, play your blues Come to me, play your music Come to me, play your blues This morning clouds were so low No sun, some trees are hiding inside them There is a way you don´t know I see you crossing the field and returning Hey boy, come to me I wanna hear the story of the past Hey woman, come to me You feel the time running too fast Come to me, play your music Come to me, play your blues Come to me, play your music Come to me, play your blues Text und Music: Zelli Zeller Februar 1991 Freiburg & Kehl On the Road Noch während der Griechenlandreise, auf Naxos, löste das Freiheitsgefühl, das sich einstellen kann, wenn man ohne Verpflichtungen und Druck einfach unterwegs ist, den zuvor beschriebenen Frust über die vermasselte Prüfung ab... I sit in my room – so alone – once again I´m at home Nothing to do – it´s so bad – but it´s really true I get up to the window try to find a piece of the sun Put my things together ´cause I want to be on the run I´m on the road Nothing is better It´s just the way of get away that I mean Get to a place that you have never yet seen I´m on the road Nothing is better With the stuff on the back - like a rack – we travel down the track Don´t ask where we go - I don´t know – it doesn´t matter at all Let´s sing a song while drinking wine and havin´fun wherever we are Hey look it´s written on this sign we get to a 24-hour bar I´m on the road… You sit in your room – so alone – once again your home! Nothing to do - it´s so bad – but it´s really true! Tomorrow you will go to work like you have o do every day Workin´ - sleepin´ - workin´, don´t you think that there is another way? I´m on the road… Text und Music: Zelli Zeller Mai/Juni 1988 Naxos (Griechenland) Sunshine in Your Face Immer wieder ärgerte sich Zelli über der Emotionslosigkeit der Menschen im Alltag in Deutschland. Speziell nach der Rückkehr von seiner ersten Keniareise, im Winter 90/91 wurde ihm dies, besonders im Vergleich zu den Menschen in Afrika, einmal mehr schmerzlich bewusst. Heraus kam dieser Song. I see all the people – oh! – they haven´t got a smile There ain´t no sunshine in their faces This pretty woman is chattering all the time There is no sunshine in her face Sunshine in your face Let´s put a little sunshine in your face Sunshine in your face And you gonna smile Why do you look so sad, do you really feel so bad There is no sunshine in your face While wlaking you look to the floor , wouldn´t you open your door Let´s put some sunshine in your face Sunshine in your face…. Whatever is the matter you can make things better with a little Sunshine in your face May I can make you a little smile, don´t you look up for a while Let´s put some sunshine in your face Sunshine in your face…. Text und Music: Zelli Zeller Februar 1991 Freiburg & Kehl You Better Go Now Zellis erste Liebesbeziehung, dauerte über 5 Jahre. In diesem Song verarbeitete er deren Endphase, die gekennzeichnet war, von einem Zustand des Nichtaussprechens von Gefühlen und Stimmungen. He was really looking forward to see her again He felt the love inside him, away from her it was just a pain Hungry for her love he burns like an enormous fire But she hasn´t got a smile for him, there isn´t any desire Hungry for her love he burns But there´s another speech he has to learn You better go now – there isn´t any love in your eyes You better go now – there isn´t any love in your eyes Don´t you think I feel it? Don´t you think I know ? Don´t you think I feel it? Don´t you think I´m hurt? He was really trying to make her feel “Oh she has to know: I love you, it´s no lying, trust me you can let yourself go. Open all your arms I´m sure I can carry a part of your soul.” But she doesn´t speak a word standing in a deep black hole Waitin´with another day´s hope But the fire´s burning along the rope You better go now… Thinking ´bout this great time being with you Now your love has gone you give me the blues I really had the hope to carry it on… But now I´m writing this song…. to get along He´s still really looking forward to see her again She knows she loves another man, so run the gauntlet of pain Thinkin´ ´bout a man who burns like an enormous fire Hope she´s got a msile for him – there should be so much desire Wanting them to carry it on, he´s feelin´good, he´s walkin´alone You better go now… Text und Music: Zelli Zeller Sommer 1990 Freiburg & Kehl
