Lysine
Can provide effective treatment for:
•
Reducing the recurrence, severity and healing time of cold sores by the Herpes simplex virus
•
The prevention of bone loss, as it increases calcium absorption
•
Supporting healthy immune function
•
Supporting tissue repair and the synthesis collagen; improving skin, hair, nails and bone health
L-Lysine is an essential amin acid, meaning that it cannot be synthesized in the body. Lysine
is typically found in its highest amounts in meat and dairy. As such, many vegetarians will
be deficient in the essential vitamins. As an amino acid, Lysine is required by the body
for many functions; including the synthesis of various connective tissues such as skin,
collagen, and bone and the productin of hormones and enzymes. Lysine is also required
for the production of carnitine, a non-essential amino acid that helps in the conversion of
fatty acids to energy. One of the best known uses for Lysine however, is the treatment of
the Herpes simplex virus. Research shows that lysine has anti-viral activity and works by
inhibiting the growth of the virus by blocking its use of another amino acid - arginine. It
may also be helpful to avoid foods high in arginine such as chocolate, peanuts, almonds
and other nuts and seeds. Foods high in Lysine include: Red meat, chicken, fish, and most
vegetables. Lysine has also been shown to play a role in helping the body absorb calcium
and may be important for those who have a predisposition to osteoporosis.

Lysine
Peit tenir de traitement efficace pour:
•
l’organisme.
On
la
retrouve
généralement
en
grandes
