von Singapur eine besondere Entwicklung, da Singapur für einige Industrien zu teuer wurde und die Immobilienpreise sehr hoch
sind. Deshalb erleben wir besondere Bewegungen in dieser
Region, um Industriezonen zu etablieren und das Land nahe
der Grenze zu Singapur touristisch zu entwickeln. Diese Entwicklung wird mittlerweile von der singapurischen Regierung

Malaysia is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi religious
country in South East Asia. It is predominantly (53%)Muslim, but
the constitution protects the followers of the other faiths, to practice their beliefs freely. The three main races are Malays, Indians
and Chinese. They generally live in harmony, and the country
is emerging out of 3rd World to 2nd World. In fact as industry
booms in Malaysia, many parts look extremely futuristic. As one
of three countries that control the Strait of Malacca, international
trade plays a large role in its economy.. Malaysia‘s main export
used to be tin and rubber, but petroleum, oil palm and electronics
goods have replaced tin and rubber as the main export commodities. Increasingly, inbound tourism is becoming a major earner
for Malaysia‘s economy. Malaysia is the world‘s largest Islamic
banking and financial centre.
Since it became independent in 1957, Malaysia‘s economic
performance has been one of Asia‘s best. Real gross domestic
product (GDP) grew by an average of 6.5% per year from 1957
to 2005. Performance peaked in the early 1980s through the
mid-1990s, as the economy experienced sustained rapid growth
averaging almost 8% annually. High levels of foreign and domestic private investment played a significant role as the economy
diversified and modernized.
Once heavily dependent on primary products such as rubber
and tin, Malaysia today is a middle-income country with a multisector economy based on services and manufacturing. Malaysia
is one of the world‘s largest exporters of semiconductor components and devices, electrical goods, solar panels, and information
and communication technology (ICT) products.
At this moment the southern part of Malaysia close to Singapore
is experiencing a special development , because Singapore has
become too costly for some industries and property prices are
very high. Therefore we see special movements in this area,
to establish industrial zones and touristic developments close
to the border to Singapore. This is suported by Singapore
government in the meantime and opens a lot of new
business opportunities.
Intergest Singapore provides the whole range of services for
Malaysia and is operating a branch in Ipoh, the former capital of
tin mining industry , northwest of Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia ist ein multiethnisches, multikulturelles und multireligiöses Land in Südostasien. Es ist überwiegend (53 %)
muslimisch, aber die Anhänger anderer Glaubensrichtungen
sind durch die Verfassung geschützt und können ihren
Glauben frei praktizieren. Die drei wichtigsten ethnischen
Gruppen sind Malaysier, Inder und Chinesen. Zwischen
diesen besteht im Großen und Ganzen ein harmonisches
Miteinander und das Land steht gerade an der Schwelle
von der 3. zur 2. Welt. Da die Industrie in Malaysia boomt,
sehen einige Teile sogar sehr futuristisch aus. Als eines der
drei Länder, die die Straße von Malakka kontrollieren, spielt
der internationale Handel in der malaysischen Wirtschaft
eine wichtige Rolle. Malaysias Hauptexportgüter waren einst
Zinn und Kautschuk, die allerdings durch Erdöl, Palmöl
und Elektrogeräte verdrängt wurden. Fremdenverkehr wird
zunehmend ein wichtiger Faktor in der malaysischen Wirtschaft. Malaysia ist das weltgrößte islamische Banken- und
Finanzzentrum.
Seit das Land 1957 seine Unabhängigkeit erlangte, gehört
seine Wirtschaftsentwicklung zu den besten in Asien. Das
reale
Bruttoinlandsprodukt
(BIP)
wuchs
zwischen
1957 und 2005 um jährlich durchschnittlich 6,5 %. Die
Konjunktur erreichte zwischen den frühen 80er-Jahren
und der Mitte der 90er-Jahre ihren Höhepunkt, als die
Wirtschaft einen anhaltenden Wachstumsschub von
jährlich durchschnittlich fast 8 % erlebte. Hohe private
Investitionen aus dem Aus- und Inland spielten bei der
Diversifizierung und Modernisierung der Wirtschaft eine
wichtige Rolle.
Einst in hohem Maße abhängig von Primärprodukten
wie Kautschuk und Zinn ist Malaysia heute ein Land mit
mittlerem Einkommensniveau und einer mehrsektoralen
Wirtschaft, die auf Dienstleistungen und dem verarbeitenden Gewerbe basiert. Malaysia ist einer der weltweit
größten Exporteure von Halbleiterbauteilen und -geräten, Elektrogeräten, Solarpanels und Produkten der
Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie (IKT).
