Report from the Chair
After the challenges of 2004, when the City
of Ottawa proposed to cut all arts funding, 2005 was a year of consolidation and
planning. Two important governance and
administration projects were initiated with
assistance from Ontario Trillium Foundation: a Human Resources Manual and a
Policies and Procedures Manual. OAG also
redesigned its newsletter Tract, sponsored
by Bell Canada, and produced a five-minute
promotional video about the Gallery.
Since 1992, OAG has had an agreement
with the City to manage the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art.Thanks to the City’s
recent annual financial commitment to
the Collection, OAG has created a new
part-time position, and has hired Catherine
Sinclair as Resident Curator, Firestone Collection of Canadian Art.
OAG has always emphasized the inclusion of local artists in its exhibitions and
publications. In 2005, the Gallery implemented a stronger focus on public programming, particularly youth programs,
including workshops led by artists for children aged 10 to 14.
Successful fundraising and sponsorship
are key sources of self-generated income
for the Gallery.The 2005 annual art auction,
Juxtapose, generated $40,000 with exceptional art by local artists and great generosity

from the community. The Wine Auction
genereated $18,000.The addition of a new
fundraising event, The Art of Golf, was initiated to attract business people, with the
aim of making OAG more widely known,
as well as securing long-term partnerships.
It proved a successful event that generated almost $20,000. Partners in Art, OAG’s
fundraising campaign, was launched with a
special breakfast. Speakers included Hon.
Mauril Bélanger, Stephen Markey, senior
VP and Chief, Government Relations, Bell
Canada, and Glen A. Bloom, Partner, Osler,
Hoskin & Harcourt. Funds for specific projects were received from the Royal Canadian
Academy of Art (for Acquisitions); Walter
& Duncan Gordon Foundation; the British
Council; and the Canadian Art Foundation
(for educational programming). In December of 2005, funding from Telus allowed
OAG to plan innovative educational programs for 2006. OAG is especially grateful
to corporations, businesses and individuals
who have made long-term commitments
over several years: these include Bell Canada;
Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt; Footeworks
Inc.; Glen A. Bloom (for acquisitions); the
Ottawa Citizen; and the A-Channel.
Under the City of Ottawa’s new Arts
Service Agreement (introduced in 2005) threeyear operational funding has been awarded,

providing OAG with long-term stability for
its operations. Annual funding for programs
and operations was also received from the
Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario
Arts Council, with additional funds from
the Ontario Trillium Foundation and Canadian Heritage, for specific projects.
The work and support of the Board
committees ensure the achievement of specific goals, and I am most grateful to all
the members. The Executive Committee
(chaired by Lawson A.W. Hunter) is responsible for overseeing finances.The Programming and Acquisitions Committee (chaired
by Jeff Thomas) reviews and approves recommendations for acquisition, and discusses
programming.The Fundraising Committee
(chaired by Sandy Foote), increased the
number of fundraising events annually from
two to four.The Building Committee (chaired by Nan Griffiths) is working in partnership with the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa
Arts Court Foundation to investigate the
redevelopment of the Arts Court precinct.
The Nominations Committee (chaired by
Lawson A.W. Hunter) is responsible for
attracting suitable Board members to further OAG objectives.
I would also like to thank our Art Rental
and Sales Service volunteers, the many volunteers participating on OAG fundraising

events, as well as those who assisted with
public programs. I take this opportunity
to acknowledge OAG’s excellent team of
dedicated staff, led by Mela Constantinidi,
Director of OAG.
It is a well known fact that OAG is in
need of a better space. There is impetus
from the City to redevelop the Arts Court
precinct through a public/private partnership. OAG’s building project is a long-term
goal, and it is the Board’s task to securely
position OAG for fundraising for the Building Campaign.
I have completed a full nine-year term
as a Board member, the maximum permitted according to the By Laws of the
Gallery. During my term, I’ve seen OAG
grow and make important strides within a
very competitive context. It is important to
continue to strengthen the Board and make
ties with the business community, as well
as continue to build on the strong partnership that has evolved with the City. I stress
the importance of volunteers to OAG’s
continuing growth. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Board, and thank
everyone for their continued dedication.

En 2005, consolidation et planification ont
pris le pas sur les défis de 2004 quand la
Ville d’Ottawa voulait abolir le financement
des arts. L’aide de la Fondation Trillium de
l’Ontario a permis de lancer deux projets
majeurs de gouvernance et d’administration : un manuel des ressources humaines
et un manuel des politiques et procédures.
La Galerie a aussi restylé Tract, commandité par Bell Canada, et réalisé une vidéo
publicitaire de cinq minutes.
Depuis 1992, la Galerie et la Ville ont
signé une entente de gestion de la Collection Firestone d’art canadien. La Ville ayant
récemment engagé des fonds annuels à
cette fin, la Galerie a créé le poste à temps
partiel de conservatrice en résidence de la
collection et embauché Catherine Sinclair
à ce titre.
La Galerie a toujours soutenu l’inclusion d’artistes de la région dans ses expos
et catalogues. En 2005, la Galerie a enrichi
sa programmation publique, surtout pour
les jeunes, dont des ateliers animés par des
artistes pour les 10 à 14 ans.
Commandites et campagnes de financement sont les sources clés des recettes
autonomes de la Galerie. Grâce au travail
extraordinaire d’artistes de la région et la
générosité de la collectivité, Juxtapose, l’encan
d’art annuel, a généré 40 000 $ en 2005

et l’encan de vins, 18 000 $. Pour inciter
les gens d’affaires, la nouvelle et fructueuse
activité de financement, L’art du golf, a permis de recueillir près de 20 000 $, de mieux
faire connaître la Galerie et d’obtenir des
partenariats à long terme. Un petit déjeuner spécial a lancé la campagne de financement, L’art et ses partenaires, avec, comme
conférenciers, l’hon. Mauril Bélanger, le

et j’en remercie les administrateurs. Le
Comité exécutif (présidé par Lawson A.W.
Hunter) veille aux finances. Le Comité de la
programmation et des acquisitions (présidé
par Jeff Thomas) discute et approuve les
recommandations d’acquisitions, et discute
programmation. Grâce au Comité de financement (présidé par Sandy Foote), les
activités annuelles de financement sont passées de deux à quatre. Le Comité de construction (présidé par Nan Griffiths) travaille
en partenariat avec la Ville d’Ottawa et la
Fondation de la Cour des arts d’Ottawa en
vue du réaménagement de l’enceinte de la
Cour des arts. Le Comité des candidatures
(présidé par Lawson A.W. Hunter) recherche
sans cesse des candidats au conseil capables
de faire progresser les buts de la Galerie.
Je remercie aussi les bénévoles du Service de vente et location, les nombreux
participants bénévoles aux activités de
financement, et les bénévoles qui appuient

les programmes publics. Je saisis l’occasion
de remercier Mela Constantinidi, la directrice de la Galerie, ainsi que le personnel
pour son excellence et son dévouement.
La Galerie a besoin de meilleurs locaux,
on le sait. La Ville penche en faveur du réaménagement de l’enceinte de la Cour des
arts par un partenariat public/privé. Le
projet de construction est un but à long
terme et le conseil devra bien positionner
la Galerie pour une campagne de financement à cette fin.
Après neuf ans comme administrateur,
je termine le mandat complet permis par
le règlement. Durant ces années, j’ai vu la
Galerie croître et prendre sa place dans
un contexte très compétitif. Le renforcement du conseil doit continuer, ainsi que
les relations avec le milieu des affaires.
Entretenir le solide partenariat avec la
Ville est aussi essentiel. Je rappelle toute
l’importance des bénévoles pour la croissance permanente de la Galerie. J’ai adoré
mon mandat au conseil et je vous remercie
tous de votre dévouement.

Report from the Director
2005 proved an extremely ambitious year
in terms of public programming. One of
the Gallery’s principal objectives was to
expand exhibition and educational activities, in order to increase our public profile
within the City. We focussed on creating
a dynamic program, with greater emphasis on collaboration, cultural diversity, and
attracting younger audiences.
The 2005 contemporary exhibitions
program began with Dead Nature, La vie immobile. Curated by Emily Falvey, this exhibition explored the still-life genre through
the work of Louis Joncas, Kelly Mark, and
Rachel Echenberg. Immediately following,
the Gallery presented Off Grid, an ambitious, 9-week arts presentation devoted to
the margins of urban culture, social activism
within the city, and the micro-politics of
contemporary art. This project included
the work of 32 Canadian and international
artists, and featured on- and off-site presentations, interventions, performances,
youth workshops, film and video screenings, and a panel discussion. OAG realized
this multifaceted project by collaborating
with Gallery 101, the Canadian Film Institute, Available Light Screening Collective
and the A-Channel.
Following Off Grid was another interdisciplinary project, exploring concepts

related to youth subcultures through the
work of 16 Ottawa artists. Organized by our
Curator-in-Residence, Milena Placentile,
My Culture Includes My Scene sought to fathom
the complex territory of contemporary
pop culture. OAG hosted a very successful
launch party attended by over 500 people.
Later in the year, the Gallery presented
A Centennial Biennial: The Alberta Biennial of
Contemporary Art 2005, which formed part
of the National Arts Centre’s Alberta Scene
program. OAG also collaborated with Oakville Galleries to present the touring exhibition, Weathervane, which explored weather
as both a metaphor and physical phenomenon. It opened at OAG in September, and
travelled to Oakville Galleries, Museum
London and the Galerie d’art de l’UQAM.
The year concluded with Body: New Art
from the UK, an important touring exhibition of new British art, organized by
the Vancouver Art Gallery and the British
Council.
In 2005, the Gallery presented three
original exhibitions from its collections.
Vanities explored vanitas still-life paintings
through works from the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art and OAG’s Contemporary Collection. Hot Mush and the Cold
North combined key works from the collection of the Art Gallery of Ontario and

the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art
with four contemporary artists, and represented the Gallery’s contribution to the
Ontario-wide Group of Seven Project, 1920–
2005. 2005 was also the 150th anniversary of the City of Ottawa, which OAG
celebrated with an exhibition that looked
at local artists from the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art.
In conjunction with its expanded program, OAG produced five new, bilingual
publications in 2005, including Max Dean,
an 80-page, full-colour, hardcover catalogue
and Dead Nature, La vie immobile, a smallerformat, soft-cover catalogue. For the exhibition Off Grid, OAG published its own
“zine” and hosted a successful Zine Fair.
With Oakville Galleries, we co-published
an elegant publication for Weathervane, a
96-page, full-colour, hardcover catalogue.
In December, OAG also launched the exhibition catalogue for its touring show, Eric
Walker: Railway Lands.
OAG continued to acquire work for its
contemporary collection, purchasing eight
new works and accepting four donations.
Significant works by Marlene Creates, Louis
Joncas, Jason St-Laurent, Deborah Margo,
Greg Hill and Frank Shebageget were purchased with the assistance of Glen A. Bloom,
Susan Annis, the RCA Trust Fund, and the
Volunteers of Art Rental and Sales Service,
matched with funds from the Canada Council for the Arts Acquisition Assistance Pro-

gram. The Gallery was pleased to acquire
an important installation from Ojibway
artist, Frank Shebageget: Beavers toured to
the Owens Art Gallery this spring, and will
be on loan to the McMaster Museum of Art
and the Canadian Museum of Civilization
in 2007–2008. The Gallery also received
donations from artists Louis Joncas and
Frank Shebageget, as well as Dr. Welberne
and Carol Ressor, who gifted works by
Evergon and Alexandre Castonguay from
their private collection.
Our emphasis on public programming
substantially increased the number of visitors to OAG. This reflected the Gallery’s
desire to emphasize our city’s growing cultural diversity and attract more youth. In
conjunction with Off Grid, we collaborated
with Gallery 101 and the Canadian Film
Institute to present From its natural environment, a film and video screening that considered the urban Aboriginal experience.
For the exhibition Hot Mush and the Cold
North, a well-attended panel discussion
about nationalism, sexuality, race, and identity in the mythology of the Group of Seven
was organized.
OAG also implemented several new
and successful youth outreach programs
in 2005. Highlights included an innovative
youth workshop in partnership with the
Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, in
which 30 high school students were grouped
with three Ottawa artists: Claude Latour,

Dawn Dale and Patrick Thompson. Each
group then worked together towards realizing a collective art intervention in downtown Ottawa.The level of intensity in our
programming could only take place with
the whole-hearted commitment of our
staff. Each individual works collectively on
behalf of the Gallery for the benefit of our
community: Emily Falvey, our Curator
of Contemporary Art; Milena Placentile,
Curator-in-Residence; Joanne Guillemette,
Administrative Coordinator; Myriam Godin,
who cares for our collections with the assistance of Jennifer Gilliland; Suki Lee, who
is responsible for publicity and oversees our
website with Michael Lechasseur;Véronique
Couillard, Public Programs Coordinator,
who is supported by Howie Tsui and Anik
Glaude; Gayle Kells Development Officer;
and Finance Officer, Glenn Provick. Our
technical team includes Lea Dunning and
Blair Cockburn.
Our volunteers are a vital and enriching
source of support to our everyday activities. I am so impressed with the number
of hours that people donate to furthering
the aims of the Gallery. Many thanks to
everyone who works on a committee, or
assists at an event, and grateful thanks to the
volunteers of Art Rental and Sales Service,
in particular Huguette Léger and Cindy
Ryley; we truly appreciate the work that
you all do year-round. And to the 16 volunteers who made up our Board of Directors,

I express my admiration and thanks. We
have an excellent governing body, working
together to cultivate a sense of group responsibility, with the expertise of individual
Board members enhancing the knowledge
and ability of the Board as a body.
This is the last occasion that I can acknowledge the contribution of Lawson
A.W. Hunter as OAG’s Board Chair. Lawson came on the Board in 1997. Since that
time, he has been extraordinarily helpful,
and his crusade to improve the Gallery’s
standing with the City of Ottawa has led
to improved relations, as well as acknowledgment of our essential role in caring for
the City-owned Firestone Collection of
Canadian Art, which resulted in the $80,000
contribution that OAG now receives annually. He is a model Board chair, demanding
but flexible.
The final word is one of appreciation to
the artists in our community.The Gallery
will continue to do its utmost to ensure
that we fulfill our Mission to be “a leader,
actively developing relationships and fostering exchange between artists and the diverse
facets of our community.” It is thanks to
all of you and your commitment that we
are able to realize our Vision and Mission.

En 2005, la Galerie avait de grandes ambitions pour sa programmation publique,
notamment de multiplier les activités liées
aux expositions et à l’éducation pour accroître sa notoriété au sein de la municipalité. Nous avons donc créé un programme
dynamique axé davantage sur la collaboration, la diversité culturelle et la participation de publics plus jeunes.
Dead Nature, la vie immobile a lancé le
programme d’expositions en art contemporain de 2005. Organisée par Emily Falvey,
l’expo explorait la nature morte grâce
au travail de Louis Joncas, Kelly Mark et
Rachel Echenberg. Puis vint Hors circuit,
l’ambitieux projet de neuf semaines consacré aux marges de la culture urbaine, au
militantisme social en ville et aux micropolitiques de l’art contemporain. Trentedeux artistes canadiens et internationaux y
participaient sous forme de présentations
en et hors galerie, d’interventions, de performances, d’ateliers pour les jeunes, de
projections de films et de vidéos, et d’une
table ronde. La Galerie a réalisé ce projet
pluridisciplinaire en collaboration avec la
Galerie 101, l’Institut canadien du film,
Available Light Screening Collective et
A-Channel.
Suivait Ma culture, mes milieux, un projet pluridisciplinaire organisé par notre

conservatrice en résidence, Milena Placentile, sur certains concepts des sous-cultures
des jeunes grâce au travail de 16 artistes
d’Ottawa. Elle tentait d’y saisir la complexité de la culture populaire contemporaine. Plus de 500 personnes ont pris part
à la fête de lancement. Quel succès !
Puis, comme volet de la Scène albertaine
du Centre national des arts, la Galerie a
présenté La Biennale du centenaire : la Biennale d’art contemporain de l’Alberta 2005.
Elle a collaboré en outre avec les Oakville
Galleries à l’exposition itinérante, L’air du
temps, une exploration du temps comme
métaphore et météo. Inaugurée à la Galerie en septembre, l’expo s’est arrêtée aux
Oakville Galleries, au Museum London et
à la Galerie d’art de l’UQAM. L’année
s’est conclue par Le corps. Art récent du R.-U.,
une exposition itinérante majeure sur le
nouvel art britannique, organisée par la
Vancouver Art Gallery et le British Council.
En 2005, la Galerie a présenté trois
expositions originales tirées de ses collections. Vanités explorait la nature morte au
moyen d’œuvres de la Collection Firestone
d’art canadien et de la collection d’art contemporain. Bouillie chaude et Grand Nord
combinait des œuvres clés de la collection
du Musée des beaux-arts de l’Ontario et
de la Collection Firestone avec celles de

quatre artistes d’art contemporain, et représentait notre contribution au projet
ontarien sur Le Groupe des Sept, 1920–2005.
La Galerie a aussi célébré le 150e anniversaire de la Ville d’Ottawa en 2005 par une
exposition d’œuvres d’artistes d’Ottawa
tirées de la Collection Firestone.
Le programme élargi a permis la parution de cinq publications bilingues en 2005,
soit Max Dean, un catalogue illustré et relié
de 80 pages, et Dead Nature, la vie immobile,
un catalogue de plus petit format à reliure
souple. Lors de Hors circuit, la Galerie a
publié son propre « zine » et organisé une
populaire Foire du zine. L’élégant catalogue
relié et illustré de 96 pages de L’air du temps
a été copublié avec les Oakville Galleries.
En décembre, c’était le lancement du catalogue de l’expotion itinérante, Eric Walker.
Territoires ferroviaires.
La Galerie a enrichi la collection d’art
contemporain par l’acquisition de huit
œuvres à titre d’achat et de quatre œuvres
à titre de don. L’aide de Glen A. Bloom, de
Susan Annis, de la Fondation de l’ARC et
des bénévoles du Service de vente et location, avec les fonds en contrepartie du Programme d’aide aux acquisitions du Conseil
des Arts du Canada, a permis d’acquérir
des œuvres majeures de Marlene Creates,
Louis Joncas, Jason St-Laurent, Deborah
Margo, Greg Hill et Frank Shebageget.
Ce fut un bonheur d’acquérir Les Beavers,
l’installation majeure de l’artiste ojibway,

Frank Shebageget. La Owens Art Gallery
la présentait au printemps et le McMaster
Museum of Art et le Musée canadien des
civilisations le feront en 2007–2008. En
outre, les artistes Louis Joncas et Frank
Shebageget ont fait des dons, et le Dr Welberne et Carol Ressor ont offert, de leur
collection privée, des œuvres d’Evergon
et d’Alexandre Castonguay.
L’accent mis sur la programmation
publique a haussé la fréquentation de la
Galerie, ce qui reflète son désir de souligner la diversité culturelle grandissante de
la ville et d’attirer plus de jeunes. Lors de

2005, notamment un atelier novateur pour
les jeunes en partenariat avec l’OttawaCarleton District School Board où 30 étudiants du secondaire étaient jumelés à trois
artistes d’Ottawa, soit Claude Latour,
Dawn Dale et Patrick Thompson. Chaque
groupe a œuvré à la réalisation d’une intervention artistique collective dans le centreville. Seul le dévouement complet de notre

personnel permet à notre programmation
d’être aussi intense. Chacun et chacune apporte sa contribution au nom de la Galerie
pour le bénéfice de notre collectivité : la
conservatrice de l’art contemporain Emily
Falvey; la conservatrice en résidence Milena
Placentile; la coordonnatrice administrative Joanne Guillemette; la préposée aux
collections Myriam Godin, avec l’aide de
Jennifer Gilliland; la responsable de la publicité Suki Lee, qui supervisait notre site web
avec Michael Lechasseur; la coordonnatrice des programmes publics Véronique
Couillard, appuyée par Howie Tsui et Anik
Glaude; l’agente au développement Gayle
Kells et l’agent financier Glenn Provick.
L’équipe technique comprend Lea Dunning
et Blair Cockburn.
Les bénévoles sont une source enrichissante et dynamique d’appui à nos activités
quotidiennes. Je suis impressionnée par le

Grâce à leur savoir-faire qui rehausse les

connaissances du conseil et renforce sa
capacité, ils assurent une excellente gouvernance qui favorise le travail en commun
et cultive la responsabilité du groupe.
Voici ma dernière chance de remercier
Lawson A.W. Hunter de sa contribution à
titre de président du conseil. Depuis son
arrivée au conseil en 1997, il fut une aide
extraordinaire et sa croisade pour rehausser la position de la Galerie au sein de la
Ville d’Ottawa a permis d’améliorer les
relations et la reconnaissance de notre rôle
essentiel dans la conservation de la Collection Firestone, propriété de la Ville.
Résultat : l’obtention d’un financement
annuel de 80 000 $. Lawson A.W. Hunter
a été un président de conseil modèle, exigeant mais souple.
Enfin, un grand merci aux artistes de

History, Mandate and Vision
Milestones
About OAG
The Gallery’s history began in September
1988 with its opening as The Gallery at Arts
Court, led by its dynamic first Director,
Mayo Graham, under the ægis of the Ottawa
Arts Court Foundation. In 1992, the City
of Ottawa’s recently acquired Firestone
Collection of Canadian Art was transferred
to the custodianship of the Gallery, renamed
The Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG). The same
year, Anne Doran and a group of energetic volunteers established the Gallery’s
attractive Art Rental and Sales Service.
The incorporation of the Gallery as an
independent charitable organization took
place in 1993, with the election of its first
Board of Directors and the appointment
of Glenn McInnes as Chair in the following year. In the mid-1990s, annual funding from additional government agencies
provided a more solid financial foundation for our evolving contemporary public
programs. As the Gallery’s annual budget
increases incrementally, so does the number of staff, programs and services, allowing more people to participate through a
variety of activities and events.
The Ottawa Art Gallery is an independent,
non-profit public art gallery committed to
the acquisition, presentation, interpretation
and dissemination of contemporary art for
the benefit of the local arts community.
Our programs explore a variety of issues
and include exhibitions, talks, lectures,
tours, youth programming and publications. The Gallery has a growing contemporary collection of works associated with
the region. It also houses the Firestone
Collection of Canadian Art, which is presented through changing exhibitions. The
Firestone Collection of Canadian Art is
comprised of over 1,600 works of art
assembled by Ottawa collectors O.J. and
Isobel Firestone.

Les points de repère
Profil de la GAO
Le premier des grands points de repère
de l’histoire de la Galerie est sans nulle
doute son inauguration en septembre 1988
sous le nom de La Galerie à la Cour des arts,
dirigée par Mayo Graham, sa première et
dynamique directrice, sous l’égide de la
Fondation de la Cour des arts d’Ottawa. En
1992,la Collection Firestone d’art canadien,
que la Ville d’Ottawa vient d’acquérir, est
confiée à la Galerie renommée La Galerie
d’art d’Ottawa (GAO). La même année,
Anne Doran et un groupe de bénévoles
énergiques mettent sur pied son attrayant
Service de vente et location d’œuvres d’art.
L’incorporation de la Galerie comme organisme de charité autonome a lieu en 1993
avec l’élection de son premier conseil d’administration et la nomination de Glenn
McInnes comme président l’année d’ensuite. Au milieu des années 1990, le financement annuel versé par de nouveaux organismes gouvernementaux consolide l’assise
financière de ses programmes publics d’art
contemporain en plein essor. L’augmentation de son budget annuel mène à celle du
nombre d’employés et des programmes
et services, ce qui permet de hausser la
participation publique grâce à un éventail
d’activités et d’événements.
La Galerie d’art d’Ottawa est un musée
d’art public indépendant et sans but lucratif
voué à l’acquisition, à la présentation, à l’interprétation et à la diffusion de l’art contemporain au bénéfice de la communauté.
Ses programmes qui abordent un ensemble
de problématiques comprennent expositions, causeries, conférences, visites commentées, programmation pour les jeunes et
publications. La Galerie possède une collection en pleine croissance d’œuvres d’art contemporain associés à la région. Elle abrite
aussi la Collection Firestone d’art canadien
qu’elle fait connaître par des expositions
périodiques. La Collection Firestone d’art
canadien regroupe plus de 1 600 œuvres
acquises par les collectionneurs d’Ottawa,
O.J. et Isobel Firestone, du début des années 1950 jusqu’aux années 1970.

is a volunteer-run initiative
that has been in existence
for the past 13 years. Its
mandate is to promote the
work of contemporary
regional artists through the
sale, rental and exhibition
of their works. Any profits
generated by Art Rental and
Sales Service contribute to
the acquisition of works for
OAG’s permanent collection.
