B l o d g e t t considers the vegetation covering P a r i s R i d g e ,
the Blue R i d g e , including Catoctin Mountain, the group of
ridges westward from North Mountain and the valleys between
the mountains. Lists of the species of the different areas are given
with a general discussion of the flora as a whole with a useful sum­
mary.

Verzeichnis der bei N y k ö p i n g , O s t s c h w e d e n gefundene
Ruderalpflanzen. Unter den aus T e x a s mit Baumwolle eingeschlepp­
ten Arten haben sich folgende seit 1901 beibehalten und setzen
reife Samen an: Cenchrus tribuloides L., Amaranthus
crassipes
Schlecht., A. graesicans L. und A. spinosus L. - Von den übrigen
Einwanderern sei Phacelia tanacetifolia Benth. erwähnt, die viel­
leicht auch in S c h w e d e n festen Fuss fassen wird.
